Great Questions too Jefferyjack. I think on the "Whenever We Wanted" album, it was about Vicky his 2nd wife. On the song "Crazy Ones" you were asking about, there is a reference on some of the lyrics: "She's got tights on her legs She's got a floppy French hat Voodoo in her eyes An endangered species on her back" Vicky wore a floppy hat on Rooty Toot Toot and also you can see a tatoo on her back, it looked like a dolphin not really sure on the tatoo. MG was a girl John knew in his younger days. Not sure on the others songs could be about Priscilla.
You're right, sorry; I got the wives' names mixed up. WWW definitely refers to the late 80's divorce.

Looking forward to hearing the stuff and hopefully being able to watch it on bluray at some point, some way. I grew up with Mellencamp records and Stephen King books; reading Pet Sematary and listening to John's records when I was 13, 14 years old in '89/'90.
We've come a long way since I first read JM and Stephen King were working on this back in, I think, late 2000 or early 2001? (I can remember the job I'd just started in Jan '01 and I'm sure I read about it online during a workbreak there).
Now perhaps JM can turn his thoughts towards a new rock'n'roll record. Would he keep T-Bone on board for a loud record? Who knows.

LOL...I think there's an interview where JM states that "Whenever We Wanted" was about Priscilla and thinking back about the marriage/recent divorce.
As for the others, who knows...
I have to say that " Whenever We Wanted" is one song that has really, really grown on me over the last 21 years. It seems to get better and better as the years go by; it's rock hard and edgy as hell. The guitars from Grissom and Wanchic are just great and Kenny's percussion/drums....words fail me, man...it's outta this world.

I am far away and just donīt trust the media Yup, in America, "journalists" are too busy giving you their biased spin on what happens rather then giving the facts..and letting you judge for yourself. You have to do your own research about the issues. Speaking of pollitics, JM was at Bill Maher's(the Political comedian) show at IU on Sun night, I like Maher; watched his movie Religulous the other week. Is the Maher show with JM as a studio guest on youtube anywhere? I looked recently but couldn't find it...which is weird, as I've seen it before someplace.

MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Question about a 30 year-old interview

I'm sure I saw an interview on youtube a few years back where JM stormed off an interview, throwing his mic to the ground; the interviewer was a girl, I think. His hair/look was kinda American Fool era or - at the earliest - maybe Nothin Matters kinda timeframe
I'm wondering...what was the question asked that made him so mad? Does anyone here know?
