Cool, thanks. Looking forward to it!
32  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / Video & Audio / Best Cuttin' Heads Tour recording? on: October 05, 2013, 02:33:02 pm
Loved the hard-hitting arrangements of Full Catastrophe, Minutes to Memories and Paper in Fire from this tour, amongst others (not to mention that blistering Gimme Shelter to open); does anyone have a great-sounding show from this era they could share?

I would love to hear the alternate arrangement of Another Sunny Day that was recorded in '94 and alluded to in the Rolling Stone article that same year.

That's an interesting read, thanks.
35  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ask Mellencamp.com / Re: 41 Shots DVD on: September 17, 2013, 03:48:31 pm
No, it's not official. I got it from eBay in 2004 before they tightened up somewhat with regards to selling bootlegs. Some of the videos on this are in less than stellar video/audio quality; it's a real mixed bag.

Oh, I had no idea. Thanks for the info, Tony.

Over here in the UK, pre-internet, we had absolutely no idea what was going on with JM, really. Other than buying the records, of course.

Who was the girl on guitar here?  Huh

Great JM article right here. Don't know why it took me so long to notice it here and get around to reading it.

Interesting that he has suffered from anxiety and, I presume, depression.
39  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: New Album -- JM Starts Recording This Fall! on: June 06, 2013, 01:53:18 pm
Good news.

I'm kicking back right now listening to The Lonesome Jubilee remaster from a few years ago and, boy, does it sound good. Some new JM music would be great.

I'll check this out when I'm not at work.

Please keep the tips and JM stuff comin, walktall!
41  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ask Mellencamp.com / Re: jack and diane version on: April 23, 2013, 01:29:22 pm
Isn't that the version officially released on the Now More than Ever digipak from '92?
42  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: New JM Photos on: March 31, 2013, 05:39:46 pm
Cool, thanks. That T Bone pic looks weird, like photoshopped or something? Maybe it's just my phone's screen.

43  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: Mellencamp's New Duet Partners on: March 27, 2013, 05:25:48 am
I hope JM has 12 new songs ready to go for a record of his own sometime this year...
44  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: Mellencamp News Withdrawal on: February 07, 2013, 05:12:02 am
I love the current band but I do wonder if Kenny would be interested in one more for the road with JM. Dane C and Kenny could even alternate percussion/drum duties.

From a marketing point of view, having the "core" line-up from American Fool through Big Daddy would kind of make sense for a rock'n'roll record.

It has surely been considered. Too much bad blood, though? We'll never know unless someone like Larry C writes a book ;-)
45  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: Mellencamp News Withdrawal on: February 04, 2013, 08:10:41 am
I'm hoping for a hard-hitting record before the end of the year.
