It's been nearlt twenty years.... 

I have her first couple of records, Happiness and Geek the Girl; used to listen to them a lot when I was at University. Great records. But very, very dark in places.

I believe Geek the Girl in particular was inspired by a stalker who plagued Miss Germano, even hanging around Belmont Mall's woods while she was recording with JM. There's some seriously harrowing listening on that record.

I hope she is doing well.

These can also be saved (but they come out as one track and would therefore need to split into tracks using a program such as Nero).

Be sure to look for shows under both "John Cougar" and "John Mellencamp", however.

There's a really clean tape of the live recordings mixed by Don Gehman on JM's birthday in '87, for example, that sounds waaaaay better than the "Little Bastard's Birthday Party" boot I've had for years; the interview segments are complete, also.

Another great record. Congrats to JM and all involved.

I did buy the box but still feel a little disappointed that it wasn't a "treasure trove" of unreleased music.

It's hard to work out who the box is aimed at: the diehards have 90% of the music already, and the casual fan is no way gonna shell out for a box like that. I just can't see the box doing well commercially as a result, and that might hurt our chances of getting a killer live/rarities boxset in the future...?

It seems, instead, to have been compiled to impress critics who might've missed some of JM's album tracks IMO.

Haven't seen JM since 1992 when me and my buddies were 16 years old....   the venue was Birmingham NEC, we drove all the way down from Glasgow, Scotland.

The "Miami" video is absolutely hialrious. Inintentionally so, methinks...

"Let it all Hang Out". Simply because of the unbelievable babe in that video...

"Paper in Fire" for me...so cool.
