Thanks Tony, Sharon, et all.  I got 2 tickets for each of 3 shows- LA, Phoenix, & Denver.  Got 4th row for the LA show, 1st row for the Phx show (both of those shows got the diamond package), and got like 20th row for Denver (fanclub presale seats).  I may have been able to stay at it and get better Denver seats but I knew I was going for more expensive/better ones for the other two shows.  I plan on taking my 6 year old to the Phx show and my 5 year old to the LA show- better tickets came up by pulling 2 tickets rather than 3.  Plus, not sure if I could control both of them at the same show Smiley

There is a chance I may try and see one of the Nor Cal shows but will wait to see if I can make it to them before I buy tickets.

A lot going on for the Mellencamp.com team today with close to 80 shows going onsale all on the same day.

Woohoo...got 4 tickets in row H Orch left for the Atlanta show at the Fox.
This is the date I proposed to my wife (come concert day) 5 years ago so it will be a nice night!
I think last time I saw John was back with Fogerty in Atlanta 7/24/05.  Wow..can't belive it's gonna be more than 10 years since!

I wanted to attend. Tried to purchase tickets (just not the most expensive ones) on the freedom presale and I can't get two seats available in the other two sections.

Thanks Tony, Sharon et al.  Savannah, Atlanta and Augusta went well.  Augusta was a little tricky.

The Citi card tickets that I looked at were not near as good as the fan club tickets.

Count Basie PRE SALE is sold out. Not the public tickets, they go on sale Friday at 10am.  You should be able to get seats!

Is John aware his set list should cover at least 90 mins and roughly 20 songs? The premium packages (double the price in the past) for real fans to sit close is disappointing considering years ago when being in the fan club got you close for no extra money (and backstage passes to boot). Honest Working Fans would like to see a full show at a fair price - and even the chance to see two! But lately the short sets and high prices for fan club seats have been disappointing.

Of course I don't expect a response of substance from the fan club since it's fallen on deaf ears before. This appears to be about squeezing max dollar rather than about the fans anymore. A shame.

I caution you not to make any assumptions about the 2015 tour based on the handfuls of casino shows from this Summer. Those are an entirely different thing with different requests/direction from the casinos than what goes on on a regular full Mellencamp headlining tour.

While John has not revealed how he will structure his show on the new tour I think it's reasonable to assume that since the venues are very similar to the 2010-12 No Better Than This Tour that the show will be setup somewhat similar and the show length (which ranged from 95 to 110 minutes) will be similar.

The ticket prices on the 2015 tour (including the Diamond package) are priced almost identically to the 2010-2012 tour. There are a limited number of Diamond package tickets available per show, they do not consume all of the best seats by any means. There will be tickets in the front rows in the Mellencamp.com presale (the fan club ended nearly 5 years ago) and also high quality tickets will be in the public on sale too.

Change is part of the passing of time. Sorry that things are not exactly as they were 15 years ago, but that was 15 years ago. Sharon and I work very hard to offer John's die hard fans as many good tickets as we can with several different options.

Did anyone get close to the front row without buying the "Diamond" package?  I bought tix in 4 cities and saw no row 1-3's for standard pricing.

Just bought Diamond seats for 2! This will be the first time I've seen John since 1992 and I cannot wait.  Will there be any type of meet and greet for Diamond package holders?

u mean a poster, fake "VIP" laminate and "special gift" isn't enough for twice the ticket price?  At least there was the soundcheck last time around.

Thank you Fan Club... Tony Sharon and all you Mellenheads......

May I please remind all...Things change everyday... and things will continue to always change.  It's life.  If only we could turn back time.  I got great Orchestra Tickets at the Northrop Minneapolis at 10:04 a.m. for his 2/15/14 show.  I studied and then followed the directions that Tony posted and I had absolutely no problem getting the tickets that I so wanted.  I paid the exact amount per VIP ticket that I did in 2011 for at the State Theater in Minneapolis.  AND...I will continue to pay the price because I want to be that close to the stage.  It is so worth it.  May we just take a deep breath and count all the blessings?  We got a Presale....John is Touring....80 times!....We got a new album coming out in less than a week....He is alive and so are we.... What's with some of the negativity?  I noticed it is from mostly the people who are new on this site.  If they only knew.... We/Me are more disappointed than they are... No more Minutes to Memories nor Club Cherry Bomb Fan Clubs but we roll with the times.  We should be the ones complaining but we are not.  We are grateful.  Thanks JM for this tour and songwriting and singing!  My only wish... We need a female vocal in your band so bad!  Mirium has stated many times... She is not a singer.  She is the best violinist ever tho!

I'm trying to buy tix for his concert July 2015 in Vancouver through Ticketmaster. It is asking for a code, as I'm a fan club member, but I don't know where to find this code? Help anyone?

That's great that you can afford $250 per ticket to sit close.  I - like you - have been around for the Minutes to Memories Days when fans paid a membership and in return got first chance at seats close to the stage for the regular ticket price.  Today's doubled price for close seats to anyone that registers on a website is nothing short of scalping tickets.

Here are the pre-sale passwords for today:

Mellencamp.com/Website/Fan Club: FREEDOM

AEG/Radio/Local: SPOKEN

Ticketmaster: PLAIN

Here is more information about how our pre-sale works and helpful links.

Details and explanations of our ticket program, including how to get the pre sale password, is available here:

Details about our Diamond Ticket Packages are available here:

MELLENCAMP.COM PRE-SALE INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1 - Register to become a free member of the Mellencamp.com Community through the COMMUNITY page on Mellencamp.com.

Step 2 - Consult the details of your show on the TOUR page to see the date and time of your pre-sale. Click the blue information icon for complete details about your show.

Step 3 - Return to Mellencamp.com the morning of your show's pre-sale and log into the website.

Step 4 - On the TOUR page, approximately 10 minutes before the pre-sale begins, we will post a pre-sale ticket password ONLY for logged in members. You MUST REFRESH the TOUR page in your browser to see the password, it will appear in the column next to whichever show you choose.

Step 5 - Click the link to go to the online ticket seller and enter the password where required to gain access to the pre-sale and then complete your purchase.

TIP: We suggest you click the pre-sale tickets link for your show and pre-register with the ticket seller before our pre-sale begins to avoid any check out issues during your purchase.

TIP: There are often other pre-sales for John's show. You might try to find and use the passwords from those pre-sales. Credit card companies, venues, tour promoters, ticket sellers often all have their own pre-sales separate from our Mellencamp.com offering.

Typically there is a 4 ticket limit per Community Member per show (many shows on the 2015 Plain Spoken tour will have a 6 ticket limit). Our pre-sale has a limited number of tickets and will likely sell out. Tickets are first come, first served and there are no guarantees that you will get a ticket through our pre-sale.

Post your questions about John's 2015 Plain Spoken Tour in this thread!
I purchased my ticket for the Phoenix show next summer and have looking forward to this for many years.  I understand I get a free download of the Plain Spoken album.  How is that done, I have not received anything?
