Any idea where the seats might be?  Ordering through Farm Aid does not give exact seating...only general section.  We would be traveling a long way and I would want to have a better idea of where my seat would be.   Thanks!

This is funny/interesting because I remember at one time awhile back John said he didn't do the motorcycle thing anymore......he was "too old" for that.

I swear....he doesn't know what he's saying half the time!!!!

Another post is suggesting John lighten up....and I mentioned in there that maybe it's the questions he's asked....always the same stuff....name change, cigarettes, record producers, etc.  What would you like to hear John talk about?  Don't we want to know something different? 

I would LOVE to hear him talk about his religious beliefs....something deeper than Grandma Laura's influence on him.  For example....what stages has he gone through spiritually to get where he is today...and then point out examples of songs that relate to those stages.

What say y'all?  What would you like to hear him talk about?

I just think John is ALOT deeper than these superficial interviews make him out to be.  I'd like to get into some of that.

Have to agree with this....I, too, think that if he feels he's written the perfect song he will quit.  Yes - we all are fortunate to be the recipients of his thoughts and musing.  He is taking us through life with his music. 

I also tend to think that when it's "not business" John is a very comical guy.  Maybe it's the whole shop talk that irritates him.  And really - they keep asking the same stuff...

I too have wondered about these interviews I read.....they do always seem dark, cranky, etc.  I've met John a few times.  I've seen him perform more times than I can count.  When my relatives were asking me about the divorce (because I'm supposed to know everything about John) I told them that I figured Elaine had gotten tired of his attitude because I had heard he's very hard to live with - cranky, ornery, stubborn, etc.  My sister-in-law asked me if he had ever been that way when I met him and I said, "No."  So I don't really understand all these reports and I don't understand these interviews.  Sometimes I think you need to see his face to understand the true meaning of what he says....because sometimes I think it's tongue in cheek.  Or maybe he's trying to be too humble....I don't know.  The one interview from some magazine, (forget the name of it) where they talk about him brandishing a cane and Elaine deserving a better man, was VERY disturbing to me.  Personally I've never seen-with-my-own-two-eyes this John Mellencamp.  And I said back then that he's NOT THAT OLD and needs to stop thinking he is.

So what does everyone think of the beard and the hair?  At first I didn't think much of the beard, but it's kind of growing on me.  Now - the hair - at first I thought that was C-r-a-z-y!!!!  But - I'm kind of liking it....in fact...I'm leaning that direction with my own.  The older I get the crazier I feel....just feel like throwing everything to the wind....including the hair!!  Go John - "let it all hang out!"

John played at some football game a few years ago....was it the opening game at the new stadium in Indianopolis, or was it a Super Bowl Game.  I want to say it was the year after the Colts won a Super Bowl?

She certainly seems to be a whole different type than Elaine.  She's wearing the same thing she wore in the NYC photos!....doubt you'd see the same outfit on Elaine!  While I almost have to agree that I'm starting to get somewhat used to the idea of this couple - age-wise, size-wise, appearance etc. (if that means anything), I'm still so sad about John and Elaine.  I just always wonder why people even jump into another relationship so soon after one has fallen apart.

Sigh.
