I dont understand why fans are pissed off JM has stated all along that this is not an arena tour and he would not be playing many of our favourite songs! In fact the last 3 times I have seen John he has not really played his big hits. I saw JM In Toronto 3 years ago, at Casino Rama in Ontario in July last summer and at Massey Hall 2 weeks ago and each of those 3 shows were actually pretty similar with JM showcasing his newer material and playing a few accoustic versions of some old favourites and then doing a medley of his great rock songs at the end of the show I think more to appease the fans than anything else. Have to say that if I were Johns age I would not really want to keep going on tour and churning out the same old set! I think it is nice that we can hear songs sung or played differently it shows the versitility of the artist and helps us to understand how the songs came about and lets face it JM has made many more albums than those 3 or 4 that came out in the early 80's which his biggest hits were on! If you only JM from those albums and you see him on this tour then yes you would be dissapointed but if you are a true fan who has followed his career and listened to the music progress over the years you will love what he is doing at the moment!

Oohh all this speculation lets wait until we know shall we? we all know that JM prefers to speak through his music and not on the pages of a tabloid newspaper and he is hating all this tabloid intrusion even though he has brought it on himself really parading around a few big cities now with Meg on his arm! He's happy and thats all I care about!

No Im not sure about the Track pants either! and the grey hair well lets face it guys John aint getting any younger and I think older guys with really black hair look kind of weird when we all know it is really grey underneath I mean look at the state of Robert Redford we all know that his hair isnt that vibrant red colour anymore! and sometimes it doesnt even look like his hair used to look it looks too fake!

John already played a longer set than he does at most shows my husband and I saw him up here in Ontario at Casino Rama in July and while the show was great and he did do an encore of sorts it was more like he just left the stage after about 50 minutes and then came back to do a few of his hits so that show felt really short (and it was) but apparently all the shows at Casino Rama are short. I thought he played a great show at Massey Hall and I also thought he played longer than he usually does and I never understood the point of encores anyway at least he told us he wasnt doing one and the house lights went up so we werent left wondering!

It was the Colts season opener after they won the superbowl the previous season. So nothing like as big as the Superbowl and John is definately as big if not bigger than some of the previous superbowl perfomers so it is definately about time he got a turn and especially as the game will be in Indiana! I also have feeling that if they do go with someone else Most of Indiana and all JM fans might cause a riot at halftime!

I love Johns new look. I also loved the suit he wore on stage for his first show in Toronto too but he did seem to keep pulling up his pants alot so maybe he needed to tighten his belt a little or go for a smaller pair or pants

Ugly split? exactly what was ugly about it. Neither party has really spoken about it if you ask me they are trying to keep it out of the limelight well except for John parading around with Meg on his arm!

Radio City is a truly awsome building my husband and I saw Eddie Izzard there for my birthday 3 years ago. I love the art deco era and loved the inside of this gorgeous building too and yes the washrooms are definately worth a visit. I love the staircase in the foyer too. John will be great there too.

I asked for this set for my birthday and guess what I got it. My husband said it was hard to fine up here in Toronto! but he knows I have to have everything Mellencamp releases so he managed to find it he said " dont know why you wanted it though isnt it just a compilation"? and yes in all honesty it is but its just so much better and more than your bog standard compilation. It's John being John and explaining his career and how the songs developed and the lyrics and meanings and I love it to bits I too started off with disc 3 had it in my car for most of the summer! I too would love to know why he never plays his grammy winning song (hurts so good) or includes it on any compilations. This was my song during the summer of 1988 I was living in Atlanta for the year and I requested that song every night at the Houlihans we frequented the other punters must have been sick of it!

Of course Meg is wearing the same as she wore in NYC it's winter and she's wearing a coat and boots with a pair of jeans what else would she wear? or should wear a different coat each time she goes out? If Meg can make him cut down on the cancer sticks thats great too many have tried before and failed! so I say good luck to her. I will also see her as just a friend to John until we hear more from his lips about whats going on with her.

Sounds like fun! I love the way John interacts with the crowd! On Wednesday a guy was cat calling and John told him "yea thats great but I've got a mic and I can shout louder n you" and another girl was calling out "Jack and Diane" and John called back "your so impatient! Well get to that one later!"

I loved the movie too and Im glad we got in just in time so I saw it all. Then my husband sat there after the movie and said "so whos the warm up band"? "that was it" I told him "oh good idea he said"!! Im wondering if it will be avaliable on DVD or download or something it would be a great thing to have on my Ipod. Im annoyed I didnt nip round the back of Massey Hall and get a snap of Johns Airstream I love those things and if I get left a decent amount of money Im getting one!!!
