I know I've already posted quite a few times here about how much John's music means to me, but I just can't help but to post more. Today is Easter and I'm feeling especially grateful for the words and music he has sang and made a difference into my life. I am so happy to have this forum here so we can talk about John Mellencamp, who is a hero and truly talented to no end.
I feel so pleased and excited to know that there are other fans out there who are just as crazy and love John Mellencamp as much as I do- we all unite here. We are wonderful people and we all believe in a "peaceful world"! I love how this forum is small and intimate, just like John's concerts- if this place were to big then there would surely be bullies and trolls! Love the "small town" feel here and I love being a part of this community!
Does anybody remember "Club Cherry Bomb"? I accessed some of it in the ol' achieves over here: http://web.archive.org/web/20050208004537/http://www.clubcherrybomb.net/ I was never old enough to be a part of it (I was in kindergarden when Club Cherry Bomb started LOL) but now I'm about to graduate high school and and I'm so thrilled that the forum continued on to mellencamp.com so I can finally join! Oh, where does the time go!?
Anyhow, on this bright and sunny Easter day, I'm just extremely overjoyed and proud to call myself a Mellencamp fan (Mellenhead)! Aren't we all happy to call ourselves one, too? I don't know what my life would be like right now if I hadn't learned all the lessons I have from his music... but I know it wouldn't be very good. Today I am feeling peace and harmony as I sit back and relax to some beautiful Mellencamp songs like, "A Brand New Song", "Sometimes There's God", and of course, "Minutes To Memories". I love and appreciate everything he has done to make a positive difference in my life with just the simple sounds of his "Words & Music". I don't care if he's not the next Beatles or Elvis. He's legendary to me.

Are any of you guys going to see him on the continuation of the Plain Spoken tour!? I sure am! I'll be seeing him in Mount Pleasant, Michigan at the Soaring Eagle Casino on April 15th. That's less than 20 days now! I CAN'T WAIT!!! I got front row seats in section L1 for only $100, and I got this damn awesome discount for 50% off- so the seat was only $50 and it's freaking CLOSE! Like I will be so close I get to see the sweat pour down his face! Haha! I love this~ I am so lucky and I feel dearly blessed! Can't wait to go jump around and dance to his songs. It'll be a blast.
Happy Easter everyone! May your day be anything but "Just Another Day"!
