I can understand someone never liking Madonna, but i can't for the life of me understand why anyone would dislike Meg Ryan, as a red blooded American male i envy John, he's got great taste in ladies.

MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: Mellencamp songs that grow with age

Two songs that have definitely grown in stature with me are ''To M.G (Wherever She May Be)'' and ''Sugar Marie'' i never much cared fo much of John's pre American Fool music, but when i heard the versions on the Rural Route box set they became two of my favorite Mellencamp songs, i think John's at his best when he keeps it simple.

MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / Tour Talk / Re: October 25

Was there last night, incredible show, highlights for me were ''Circling 'Round The Moon'' never thought i'd hear this song live, and ''Walk Tall'' which was completely different from the studio version, i absolutely loved this version, talk about making a great song even better and ''Easter Eve'' which i didn't think would go over particularly well in concert, glad to be proven wrong.
I've seen past shows where i thought John was mostly going through the motions and not really into it, not so this time, John really put his heart and soul into every tune and the audience appreciated it right from the start, also there was quite a bit it of applause after the documentary which surprised me, the show was incredible, as was the audience.

MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: Was he considered for the Superbowl Halftime show?

If the NFL thinks the Superbowl is a 'global' event, they're insane, sorry. It is NOT a global event and there is no real interest in it at all outside the US. Soccer is what rules the rest of the world So true, the NFL is simply delusional, there are people within the league who actually believe the Superbowl is the biggest sporting event in the world, what a laugh, and not all Americans like or watch the SB either, i haven't watched one in two decades and i guess i'll miss this one as well, even if John had been chosen he'd be the only thing i'd be watching, the NFL and the SB are nothing but a freak show, let them have Madonna, their loss.
