John looks happy with Meg Ryan

I just read she is going to direct her first film in Sep in N.Y.. Perhaps John was the person who inspired her to do this....

I think she and John should do a film together, maybe a ''Chinatown'' or ''LA Confidential'' type noir, Meg is a great actress, and John showed potential in ''Falling From Grace'' he was also quite good in the first fifteen minutes of ''After Image'' before the director ruined that movie.

Elaine, you got you a "hottie" while John is stuck with Meg. Smiley

Tongue
I'd love to be ''stuck'' with Meg Ryan, she's a great actress and a nice person......and she's hot.

Have fun and enjoy every moment of your life John!!!

This is what John preaches to us in songs, and i really believe John is a happy man, so why does he sound so unhappy in these interviews, and it only seems to be getting worse.

I really don't know what he's thinking,  if he only knew what a turn-off this, i don't even send links or recommend him to friends when i know he's being interviewed on TV, and it saddens me to say this, but i won't even watch him any more unless he's only performing.
109  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Is it time for John to lighten up. on: March 31, 2011, 07:10:45 am
I've been a fan of John's since 83, i respect his talent and acomplishments and his tenacity, i own every album, have attended about fifteen shows and will probably go  to grave listening to John's music, having said that i find John's demeanor in his interviews of late to be a real downer.

He's a fun guy on stage and on Letterman, and doesn't seem to take himself too seriously when in those situations, but his interviews of late on A&E, the one in NY this week and in many print articles are real bummers, someone should tell him that he's not old, is not about to die and that he doesn't look like a sack of shit.

On the subject of his music i actually prefer John's new songs ''as dark as they are'' but i just hate it when he tries to disown or put down the songs that made him what he is today, by doing that he's showing a lack of respect for his fans, and he's certainly not gaining new ones, Jack And Diane, Small Town, Pink Houses are timeless classics, that is why people like and want to hear them, it's not because people are stupid.

The thing that irks me the most is whenever John is asked to name one great song of his, his answer is always ''i haven't written yet'' give me a fuckin' break John, you've written countless great songs, there are more great songs in your last two albums alone than most artists write in a lifetime, you're writing better songs these days than even your ''and mine'' hero Bob Dylan, please stop being so negative, and stop insulting us.

For me it used to be Human Wheels, now it's No Better Than This, followed closely by Life, Death, Love & Freedom, John's last two albums really are his best, i cannot wait for the next one.

It shouldn't be about which one rocks the hardest, it should be about which one has the strongest songs, there's no doubt in my mind it's the last two, i think John would agree.

112  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: The Grammy's are a joke on: December 02, 2010, 09:29:01 pm
I too was bummed out this morning, what a farce the Grammys are, it's downright criminal the way these clowns keep ignoring John's great work, instead of ''Save Some Time To Dream'' getting a nomination for record of the year we get ''Fuck You'', unbelievable.

And for ''No Better Than This'' to not even get a nod in the Americana category, after spending such a long time at the top of the Americana charts, and getting so much acclaim is insulting to John and his fans.

I hope one day when John gets the lifetime achievement award from these clowns he throws it right back in their faces and tells 'em where to stick it. Angry
