Thanks for the update Tony.....I did just check again too and obviously, all of the center section is gone, but both the left and right orchestra/pit sections are still open showing at $250 each.  Smiley  Thanks again!

I have the promoter checking on this as I too don't see any $130 tickets available, it's possible they all have sold (at least all that were in the presale, we don't get access to everything and there will be different seats in the radio presale tomorrow). The password for that radio presale by the way is jackiebrown . And they hold some of every price level for the public on sale.

Thanks for the answer Tony ,

My ticket is front row , not as good as I would have wanted as there were slightly better seats available (but only if you bought 4 at a time) around 13:00 , so yes the "Premium Packages" ticket are quite good .
Not sure what i'll do with the vinyl as I don't have a turntable  Smiley

Bye for now.

How do you get better than front row? What more could you have wanted?

My ticket is all the way at the end of the row , that means that because of the awful acoustics of "Place des Arts" I will hear the music very loudly in one ear and not at all in the other . So in this case , better = closer to the center.

I got front row center for the Reading, PA show during the pre-sale. Thanks Mellencamp and management for providing will-call only tickets for the best seats in the house!

I checked back this morning and used the radio presale password, that shows all three front sections sold out, it won't even pull up anything....using the original presale password still showed me the same $250 available seating but nothing up front. Thanks for all of your help and information Tony...I know you always look out for us mellenheads.  Smiley

Somebody from the Melencamp community please back me up on this one! I participated in the presale yesterday for the Savannah, GA show and followed the rules just like everyone else. I selected $125 seating and 4 tickets. I was lucky and got four second row seats to the show. Today, I got this mesage from the ticket sellers website:

Dear John Mellencamp Fans:

Thank you for participating in the presale for the
John Mellencamp performance at Savannah Civic
Center’s Johnny Mercer Theatre on November 11th.

Regrettably, the system allowed you to purchase
tickets in the VIP seating area without being
charged the VIP price of $250 per ticket plus
convenience fees. We have two available options to
correct this error:

We can relocate you to the best possible seating
for the price you have paid, no further back than
Row K in the Orchestra sections. We will make
every attempt to select seats that are similar to
your original selection (on an aisle, on a
particular side of the venue, etc.)

If you would like to pay the difference in price
to keep your original seating, please reply to
this email and confirm that you have agreed to
being charged an additional $125 per ticket on the
credit card used at the original time of purchase.

We must receive your decision by no later than
Tuesday, August 9th at 5pm. If you have not
expressly agreed to paying the difference in price
by this time, your seats will be relocated.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for any and
all inconvenience.

Thank You,
eTix Customer Support

What a joke! I can't believe Mellencamp fans are getting pushed around like this. Please advise!

I just received the same notice from eTix.  3rd row, 4 seats.  Very disappointed at this moment.  Also attended the Columbia, SC earlier this year using the premium package, and just dont need any more merchandise.

Please drop me an email with this to [email protected]. Sounds like they messed something up with their seat allocation.

If the Premium Tickets weren't showing up as an option to request that means they were all sold out.

I see that the venue/promoter got the seats/price corrected for the public sale....too bad they couldn't have fixed it yesterday while I still had a chance.  Sad

Please tell me this is not standard practice! I hope there is some remedy to this other than being forced to pay double for tickets myself and others bought in good faith.
I participated in the presale for the Savannah, GA show and followed the rules just like everyone else. I selected $125 seating tickets. I was lucky and got third row seats to the show. I received this message from the ticket sellers website:

I believe at most we should be asked to pay half the additional cost for their mistake, not the full amount.
I would like someone from the John Mellencamp community please back us up on this one and get back with me.
Thanks, Bob

Definitely not standard procedure and as far as I am aware this is the first time something like this has happened. I reached out to our point person at the tour promoter about this and am waiting for him to get back with me. You emailed me directly so I will stay in contact with you about that once I know something, please keep in touch with me as well.
