On the Mellencamp.com Tour page, click the little blue icon on the right end of the row for the Louisville show, that takes you to the show detail page which has all of the prices.

Can you tell me if there will be  fan club seats available in the first 10 rows if we don't purchase the Premium Package for Grand Rapids?  Thanks!

If you do not purchase the VIP package is it still possible to get seats within the first 10 rows?  For all of the previous shows I have bought the VIP package, but I really don't need all of the stuff that comes along with it now (since I have several sets).  Bottom line, are there still good seats available without purchasing the VIP package (and would this include 1st and 2nd row seats)?

There should be some available but depending on the size of the rows there probably will be more Premium Package seats in those rows than just $125 tickets.

There should be some available but how many depends from venue to venue based on how many seats are in the rows and other factors. I don't get access to the seating manifests so I never know exactly how many tickets are available in each type in the pre-sale.

I saw that we don't need a password if we are buying the premium packages. BUt it looks like the websites are asking for a password. Are the premium packages on sale at the same area as all other tickets?

You are not SUPPOSED to need a password for Premium, that is how we ask the venues to set it up, however, when the ticket sellers are not ticketmaster.com sometimes the setups get very weird and a password might be required during the presale period.

Yes keep trying, that applies for all shows, if you didn't pull any tickets (or not what you want) keep trying as even if all tickets were initially requested many will not be completed and will go back into the general ticket pool.

I tried for over 30 minutes to get tickets for the N. Charleston show in the $90.50 price range and nothing came up.  I starting trying exactly at 10am.  Worst presale ever IMO and I've purchased tickets through a lot of presales.  Extremely disappointing.

There was a ticket seller glitch where the $90 didn't go on sale at the 10am. They should be on sale soon. Sorry for that, I wish I could control all of those things!

I don't have any info to share on seating at shows, basically you gotta go off the seating chart or call the venue/box office to inquire.

Hi Tony....not sure if it was intended like this or if the venue for Rockford made an error, but there were NO $125 tickets up front, all of them are the premium $250 tickets. I thought there would be a some of the $125 tickets somewhere close, but to no avail. I too like some of the others have already purchased the $250 premium package and have no need for all the additional items, so I was just trying for 1 of the $125 tickets.

Thanks and THANK YOU as always for the hard work and time put forth to Mellencamp.com

tattudemellenhead-Sherry

** Let me add to this that I would be very sad to see empty seats at a JM show up that close all because they are $250 vs the top dollar ticket of $125.  :)

I just passed that feedback on to the promoter so they can double check that what was supposed to be offered was. You might keep checking tonight/tomorrow in case more are released.

There are not that many $250 seats and if they go unsold they are unbundled closer to the show date and put on sale to the general public at their face $125 price.

Not sure what I have purchased :

Got a ticket for Montreal around 10:30 this morning . Paid $258 (everything included) and tought I was getting a standard ticket . But I took a look at the tour page a few minutes ago and $258 is just about the cost of a "Premium Package" yet there is no mention of that in my confirmation e-mail.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

$258 is what a premium ticket would cost, it's a standard ticket with the extra package of merchandise and will be a front 10 row tickets. In a few weeks (or hopefully just days) you will get an email with instructions how to pick your shirt size and confirm your address. As many people here can confirm the premium tickets are outstanding seats.

I have the promoter checking on this as I too don't see any $130 tickets available, it's possible they all have sold (at least all that were in the presale, we don't get access to everything and there will be different seats in the radio presale tomorrow). The password for that radio presale by the way is jackiebrown . And they hold some of every price level for the public on sale.

Thanks for the answer Tony ,

My ticket is front row , not as good as I would have wanted as there were slightly better seats available (but only if you bought 4 at a time) around 13:00 , so yes the "Premium Packages" ticket are quite good .
Not sure what i'll do with the vinyl as I don't have a turntable  :)

Bye for now.

My ticket is all the way at the end of the row , that means that because of the awful acoustics of "Place des Arts" I will hear the music very loudly in one ear and not at all in the other . So in this case , better = closer to the center.

Somebody from the Melencamp community please back me up on this one! I participated in the presale yesterday for the Savannah, GA show and followed the rules just like everyone else. I selected $125 seating and 4 tickets. I was lucky and got four second row seats to the show. Today, I got this mesage from the ticket sellers website:

Dear John Mellencamp Fans:

Thank you for participating in the presale for the
John Mellencamp performance at Savannah Civic
Center’s Johnny Mercer Theatre on November 11th.

Regrettably, the system allowed you to purchase
tickets in the VIP seating area without being
charged the VIP price of $250 per ticket plus
convenience fees. We have two available options to
correct this error:

We can relocate you to the best possible seating
for the price you have paid, no further back than
Row K in the Orchestra sections. We will make
every attempt to select seats that are similar to
your original selection (on an aisle, on a
particular side of the venue, etc.)

If you would like to pay the difference in price
to keep your original seating, please reply to
this email and confirm that you have agreed to
being charged an additional $125 per ticket on the
credit card used at the original time of purchase.

We must receive your decision by no later than
Tuesday, August 9th at 5pm. If you have not
expressly agreed to paying the difference in price
by this time, your seats will be relocated.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for any and
all inconvenience.

Thank You,

What a joke! I can't believe Mellencamp fans are getting pushed around like this. Please advise!

At Indy 11-19-11, on ticketmaster r the the 125.00 tickets for the premium tickets? Or r they just regular tickets??? I could never find anything on ticketmaster listing premium tickets
Thanks

If the Premium Tickets weren't showing up as an option to request that means they were all sold out.

Thanks for the update Tony.....I did just check again too and obviously, all of the center section is gone, but both the left and right orchestra/pit sections are still open showing at $250 each.  :)  Thanks again!

I checked back this morning and used the radio presale password, that shows all three front sections sold out, it won't even pull up anything....using the original presale password still showed me the same $250 available seating but nothing up front. Thanks for all of your help and information Tony...I know you always look out for us mellenheads.  :)

I see that the venue/promoter got the seats/price corrected for the public sale....too bad they couldn't have fixed it yesterday while I still had a chance.  :(

Please tell me this is not standard practice! I hope there is some remedy to this other than being forced to pay double for tickets myself and others bought in good faith.
I participated in the presale for the Savannah, GA show and followed the rules just like everyone else. I selected $125 seating tickets. I was lucky and got third row seats to the show. I received this message from the ticket sellers website:

Thank You,
eTix Customer Support [/i] [/i]

I believe at most we should be asked to pay half the additional cost for their mistake, not the full amount.
I would like someone from the John Mellencamp community please back us up on this one and get back with me.
Thanks, Bob

Definitely not standard procedure and as far as I am aware this is the first time something like this has happened. I reached out to our point person at the tour promoter about this and am waiting for him to get back with me. You emailed me directly so I will stay in contact with you about that once I know something, please keep in touch with me as well.

what the heck is the premium package promo code

Boston is currently having an issue with the ticket seller, so right now no tickets have gone on sale, but they should be shortly.

No promo code/password is need for VIP once they go on sale.

Re: Boston show...when I enter the promo code and try to search for 2 tickets I keep getting a message "We apologize, but we couldn't find any tickets which fit your search criteria. Please choose one of the following options to search for tickets." This is for the non-premium tix.

Are the pre-sale tix already sold out at 10:10am?

Tony.  The time has changed for premium packages at 11AM for the oct Boston Show.  Its asking for promo code?  I called direct to telecharger and they say they cant give out the password.  So afterplanning for several hours to make the first 10 rows what do I have to do?

@ the shoe:

When the VIP tickets go on sale at 11, there is no passcode needed. You can just buy them.
The passcode is only needed to get regular presale tickets.

I am sorry for the trouble, something major was screwed up at the ticket seller end, no tickets have been sold so hopefully everything will be smooth at 11am.

I have another question about my ticket :

I purchased a front row ticket for the Montreal show (at Place des Arts) for which I paid $258 .
From the info on the tour page and the answer to my previous question I assumed it would be a Premium ticket but it says  "Package tickets WILL NOT BE MAILED to purchasers." in the package description.
Guess what I received in the mail yesterday  ???

Can anyone help make sense of this mess ?

Luc

Well clearly the venue didn't know how to follow our instructions (the ones they posted too - grins). We try to make all of the Premium Tickets will call only to discourage scalping.

However some venues end up mailing them out anyway due to not having a flexible enough ticketing system.

Tony...I have not received my tickets (sent regular mail) for Mellencamp's Boston Concert on October 25th.  Do you know if they have been sent out yet ?

I received my tickets in the mail for Bob Seger in November already.

Did you buy premium package tickets or just regular tickets?

Premium package tickets are will call pick up only night of the show.

Regular tickets I assume should have been emailed or mailed out. I would contact the box office and check on them after you check your email.

Tony

I am glad you said something about the cameras Tony. All the flashing is very disruptive if John is to perform well.  I can testify to that, as when I used to work for a christian rock music station, one of the churches would have a rock show 2x a month.  The biggest one was when they had Barry McGuire (he is famous for Eve of Destruction back in the 60's and yes he is a christian) and the fans were so obsessed with their cameras noone could even see him.  I know that all the flashes were disturbing him, but Barry was gracious enough to finish out the concert.  In the christian music field he is well known for his hit called "Bull Frogs and Butterflys."  And he is such  a great artist and just one of the most down to earth people anyone could meet.  And he still sounds like the good old days  :) :) :)

Looks like John is taking a break at this point. Will let Tony comment but I would say nothing coming before 2012!  After 3 N.American legs of the tour and a trip to Europe this past summer they needed some rest and relaxation.

I think you are clear until May for sure. John's taking some time off before working on the Ghost Brothers musical and I think he won't do anything show wise until that is over, if he does any shows in 2012 at all, too early to really say either way what the Summer or Fall might hold.

A belated THANK YOU, TONY!! for helping me back on 11/5/2011  in Newark, NJ with my ticket situation.  I think I drove you nuts till the end.  It was awesome that you emailed me "back" on the night of the show - helping me jump a few hurdles.  I didn't feel like a number and that's what John's music represents to me.. We're all together in this life - helping each other out..

I work 2 jobs so it took me forever to post this - but I was soooo impressed with the way my situation was handled and YOU were the one helping me.. KUDOS!!!

John put on an amazing show that night and I was beaming all night long!!  You represented what he stands for well and that was the reason I enjoyed myself even more - knowing he has a good team! (okay he is hot and that is another reason i enjoyed the show !!! :) lol

Hey - I took this picture.. I will treasure it always! Thank you so much!!!

THANKS TONY!!  ;D
