this rumor of john and meg has been said since way over a year ago. you can google "john mellencamp meg ryan engaged" or "john mellencamp and meg ryan married" and you will see a lot of different stories or articles that date back as far as early 2011. and if they do well it would may just be divorce #4 for john.
and as far as meg being way more famous then john, i dont think so. i believe the 3 john & elaine, plus meg are equal in that area. so noone is more famous then the other.
regardless wether anyone wants to believe it or not, john did with elaine (which he should never of done, cuz she was the best thing that ever happened to him.) just like he did with his last ex-wives -cheated and it just happened to be meg, which meg {wears a sign around her neck, on one side it says "martyr" and on the other side it says "victim") and meg used to cry about dennis (dennis is gona be single again ,,,,,,,,,, meg hint hint hint) and what he did. meg helped john cheat. and mellenhead fans can stay in denial all they want, its too obvious and the history looks the same to me. and i dont even think john will be faithful to meg, if he hasnt done anything already
john your a bad boy when it comes to women (and a pompous ass sometimes) but sweety i still love you the same and your songs are some of the best

i heard mikes interviews they were good. and then when asked bout meg, i had to laugh, of course mike is going to say something nice, he wants to keep his job. anything ever happen to john, should he die or quit playing music, a whole lot of people will be out of work.

My comments are consistent...I love JM and his work (always have), Elaine is a class act (always has been), and I have NEVER liked Meg Ryan (disliked her way before JM & MR). Yes, it's my opinion and I have a right to it.   

i understand what your saying slm1206. this is a pretty outspoken forum. but isnt that the way John is? and if anyone is offensive in posting, then explain to me why they dont bleep out "F" word when john says it in his talks. which i think using that word is cheap talk anyways. i have been a long time fan of johns. but since he hooked up with meg, he dont look to good. i wonder if he thinks if he did the right thing letting go of elaine and his marriage. i really believe johns still in love with her and always will be. im rootin for them to get back together. i sure hope they do. i really believe what that old drummer said in johns bio that when he mentioned to him that he found the girl he always been lookin for and he was gona stay married to her forever deep in johns heart, i still believe to be true inside him

what i dont understand is meg is selling her property in LA.  looking for a place in NYC thats gona cost what a few million or so? she is supposed to have a spot on PBS' show "half the sky" and is listed as a supporter of that cause. and i dont feel shes a good role model anyways for even having a bit part in the show due to her porn scene in the movie "in the cut" and i still believe she help instigate johns divorce no matter what anyone says. probobaly john had an affair with meg while married to elaine (he said in his biography video to his old drummer that he was gona marry elaine cuz she was the one he had always been looking for and was gona be married to her forever) and of course just like the last marriages gets a divorce ending up with the gal he had been having the affair with. divorce just ease a mind of guilt i would say. why dont meg take some of that money and donate to that cause. and if shes so gung ho on john why dont she donate some of that money towards "farm aid". instead of being selfless, being selfish i would say. cant be bored with that amount of money. oh john please get rid of her and get your life back.

No, she is not a 'known' smoker, Rene. Quite the contrary. She rarely ever smokes. Even in these photos her cig is never lit. Contrary to those of John.

rarely ever? does that mean sometimes? so the one she is carrying is a prop so the press has fun. who the heck walks around with an unlit cig? i always carry one around with me just for the heck of it. unless, of course, i want to smoke it but discovered someone was taking photos so decided to wait. there are photos of her smoking in the past on the internet. not that it matters but people sure like to make john and meg out to be saints on this site. everyone is human, errors, ticks and all.

this was a good article. and "streetcar" was one of brandos best films. but the only thing is towards the end of this interview how he talks bout how people will do anything to get famous to go on tv by showing their asses. he has got to be aware of megs sex scene in the movie she made "in the cut." he says hes against this such practices to become famous. makes me wonder why hes with her then, sounds contradiction  to me. i still think that meg instigated johns divorce and john dumped his wife for her. i dont think john knows what he wants, can tell by his paintings, looks like balls of confusion. but still love your music john.

it was an honor for john to induct donovon. but the way he dropped his ciggarette on to the floor was not honorable. he had a chance to get rid it of before coming on stage.

He did the same at his own induction, he dropped the cig on the step and put it out with his shoe I think. Take it or leave it.

and i think this is all publicity for meg since she has been out of the public eye for quite a long time. one thing i admire about elaine. she has integrity and doesn't seek any publicity nor make a big show of what is going on in her personal life. she has a lot of integrity. still a shame john and her split up.

Great pics!  I was lucky enough to be there.  John's speech was hilarious.  He talked a lot about how Donovan "inspired" him.  He used the quote sign every time he said the word " inspired".  He said "you people in the business, and you know who you are, knows that "inspired" just means someone  you stole a whole lot of shit from!". John was very passionate in his appreciation for Donovan.  He even had with him his first album he bought of Donovans.  He said, can you see that, pointing to the upper left hand corner of the album, that says Mellencamp.  Growing up in Indiana that's how we kept track of our stuff.  We didn't have a lot of money so we had to trade our albums around, but you always had to keep track of them". John and Donovan's performance of Season of the Witch was very passionate as well.  They had a great time on stage together.  John and Meg left as soon as he was done.  They sat at a table with the other presenters, Bette Midler, Kid Rock, Robbie Robertson, Chris Rock and a couple other people I didn't know.  Bette sat between John and Meg and Bette and Meg seemed quite friendly together. John smoked the entire time.  He even had a lit cigarette in his hand at the beginning of the induction speech.  He looked around to see what he should do with it then walked up to the edge of the stage and dropped it onto the floor below.  Gotta love our JM!

these are great videos. jm seemed so outgoing and just full of energy and life. and he had that going for years. i compare these through out the years.  he looks like hes going into some kind of dark place in the last 2 years. really scary. actually he's getting more spookier
