MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ask Mellencamp.com / Re: VIP stuff

Hi Sharon Do you have any idea when we will receive our VIP merchandise? We are going to see John in Nashville so we are turning it into a mini vacation and will be there the Saturday before the show. The last time we had VIP merchandise coming was for the Savannah show and it arrived at my home the day of the show. (I live four hours away from Savannah) I would have loved to have my lanyard to wear at the show.
Thanks for all you do! Lisa Norris Georgia

Crumblin Down edges out Pink House by a bit. I love seeing him jump over the parking meter! I also laugh at the beginning because my mom would always say she wanted to chase him down with a pair of scissors to get his hair out of his eyes!
The Pink Houses video holds a special place in my heart too because it debuted on Friday Night Videos when my mom was in the hospital and we got to see it together. That was when she told me that she hoped I would meet him one day. That was Dec. 23, 1983. She died January 5, 1984. I still haven't met him as in talk to him. I did get very close at the free show in Atlanta!

MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ticket & Tour Questions / Re: 2019 Ticket Presale Help

I was able to get tickets to Nashville. We wanted front row because it's going to be an early 50th birthday present for myself but every time I went to buy them they were gone. It also didn't help that the site started spinning right at 11. I thought I was going to have a nervous break down!
Anyway, looks like it's third row for us. It's the first row up from the floor so it's not a bad spot! Lisa in Georiga

Hello! I've been seeing this too and it makes me happy for them! Pictures don't lie and every picture I've seen of them together (past and present) you can see the happiness. As John/Grandma Laura said best: "Life is short, even in its longest days!"
Happy holidays! Lisa Norris Georgia

MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ask Mellencamp.com / Re: WRONG DATES

Not to me either. I'm just like you; those dates are attached to my life. I knew right away that the date for Lonesome Jubliee was off because I remember that it came out before I went in the Air Force and that it kept being delayed. I believe it was supposed to be released early August (maybe late July) 1987. I kept going to the record store to pick it up (I know I could have called but...) and every week it wasn't in yet. It got to the point that I would walk in the door and the store employees would stop what they were doing and yell "It's not in yet!". They were some happy people when it finally arrived! I was too.
Lonesome Jubilee was released before I went into basic training on Sept 20, 1987. I had my walkman and all my John Mellencamp cassettes with me but all of those items were locked in a closet the day you check in. Going that long without listening to John was terrible!
Best, Lisa in Georgia
