Well, I tried. at 10:01 there were no up close seats left for 90.50 and the VIP seats were almost as far back as the first $90.50 seats. I had a bad feeling because it's Chastain. Looks like I will skip this one.

Glad I got to go to the Crossroads taping because it's looking like that will be my John Mellencamp fix for the year

It was awesome! I cannot wait to see it when it airs. Darius went first and here's what they sang together:
Alright, What if I told you, Hold my Hand and Wagon Wheel.
Then it was John's turn. Most of the people there were there for Darius; there was no doubt about that! It was funny though because John took his jacket off and the girl beside me, said "he's taking his jacket off; it's about to get serious". I looked at her and smiled and said "you have no idea!".
Here's the songs by John that they did together:
Grandview, Jack & Diane, Longest Days, Pink Houses and Cherry Bomb.
I cannot wait to see what they leave in and what they take out. I can't imagine them not having all the songs because John and Darius were really good together. Grandview was smoking! John sounded really good and I can't tell you how excited I am about the new CD!

It's awesome live! John was in Nashville Friday night (Feb 24th) to record CMT Crossroads with Darius Rucker. This was the first song of John's that they performed together. It was a barn burner! What I loved the most is that the folks around us were clearly there for Darius and they were really impressed with this song.
It is supposed to air on March 24th. I cannot wait to see what makes the show and what doesn't.

Hi everyone!  Just curious to see if anyone besides myself and my husband attended the CMT crossroads taping with John and Darius Rucker.  It was awesome! Thanks Tony and Sharon! 
Michael and I looked around but didn't see anyone we recognized. I definitely didn't see anyone with a mellencamp t-shirt except me!
 It also seemed like everyone around us was there for Darius and he was great but John and the bad stole the show!

I have watched The Voice since season 3 but have missed several shows this time. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw that Josh sang Jack and Diane. The itunes version is better than the live performance is anyone is interested.

I pretty much felt that Billy Gilman had it in the bag until last night. Sundance Head on Blake's team will probably win it all.

Now, John can make my dreams come true and be on The Voice next time! He would be an awesome advisor. I know he would tell some of them to not sing certain songs that do not match their voices. That is what they really needed this time!

Same here. I've been a fan for over 34 years but have never met him. I've met the band and met Elaine once but never have gotten to meet John. I did get a meet and greet way back but he didn't do any shows that I could attend on that tour (I think it was Words & Music). He stayed mostly up north for that one. I work at the University of Georgia so sometimes you can't be off and that was one of those times.

I think if it's meant to happen it will but in the grand scheme it changes nothing. John Mellencamp will always be an important part of my life. He's an unofficial family member whether he knows it or not!

No, we weren't able to go to Bloomington this time. We didn't plan this trip; it just happened. Our main focus was seeing our son graduate from Navy Basic training but he thought it was cool that we were able to visit Seymour.
