The 11/16 Ft Wayne show was great - and it was 2 hrs nonstop.  Question - is there no encore at any of the shows or did Ft Wayne just not want it enough?  We waited - no return to the stage~    thanks!

JM doesn't do encores.  he does band intros than usually plays a couple more songs.

i think i read long ago that he didn't believe in people 'begging' for more.  somebody correct me, as i'm sure i didn't get that right.

Paula, that is how i have always heard it. His encore is the song(s) after the band intros. He just doesn't make people stand and clap and clap

I was at the Casino Rama show in Canada in July. Someone shouted "encore" and John replied, matter of factly,  " I don't do encores, they're too pretentious."

I remember hearing it somewhat as "Why make people stand and clap for something you are going to do anyway?"

Well I think it is fun to stand up and clap and shout for an encore.  It just isn't as spontaneous as it used to be.  Or maybe it was always planned but none of us knew that so it didn't matter.  I especially miss the lighters!!!   Smiley
