I don't think there would be another tour unless there is another album.
Which brings up my next question,
Tony, What is John currently working on? Is is the next album or something else?

Right now John is concentrating on getting the Ghost Brothers tour nailed down. We should see a different kind of setting for the GB tour. The Ghost Brothers Album release is set for June 4th after that once the GB is taken care of maybe we will see some tour dates!

We can all only hope so..... All we have been hearing about is GB since last spring and everytime the release is delayed... AND we hear Nothing else, other than Farm Aid.
So odd.  I check this forum every single day hoping that something is announced and/or he is working on something and/or he is OK.... Just wondering.  He has never hid like this before.  Maybe Hid is not the correct word, but what do you call it?

I suggest fans have a little perspective and patience. I know John has spoiled us all with being a work a holic. We really haven't had a down year since, well maybe 1995. This year is probably shaping up like 2004 where John released his greatest hits album (lets compare that to ghost brothers release) and then he did a short run of shows on that Vote for Change.

There are a few Mellencamp events firming up that we should be announcing in the next few weeks, not a tour or anything, but a few moments of John being out in public.

Most artists of John's caliber disappear a lot more than John has. Often they disappear for a year or more before launching a new tour/album. Lets look back:
2013 - Ghost Brothers album, Ghost Brothers tour (potentially)
2012 - End of NBTT Tour, Ghost Brothers in Atlanta, It's About You released
2011 - NBTT Tour, box set
2010 - NBTT Tour, No Better Than This album, Bob Dylan tour
2009 - Bob Dylan Tour, live album
2008 - Life Death Love and Freedom plus tour
2007 - Freedoms Road, fall tour
2006 - Spring tour
2005 - Toured large part of year
2004 - Words and Music, Vote for Change
2003 - Trouble No More album, a few shows
2002 - Summer Work Tour
2001 - Cuttin Head, Summer Tour
2000 - Good Samaritan Tour
1999 - Long tour, Rough Harvest
1998 - John Mellencamp album release
1997 - MHGL tour, greatest hits
1996 - Mr Happy Go Lucky
1995 - 4 Pearl Doggy shows and Farm Aid

We miss him.

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers are touring at least.  We will see them in Minneapolis 6/29/13.  John, Your Turn!  Begging you...... Yes we are!

Instead of saving my concert money for JM (which I usually do!), I went to Bob Seger, Bon Jovi, and now have tickets for Petty.  I just might have to go to Farmaid and get my JM fix this year!!!  He really has spoiled us.  It would be nice if Farmaid would be in MN this year!!!!  Thanks for all the great music and memories John.

If there is a 2013 tour, let's hope John brings a new album with him.

FYI that is a Ghost Brothers tour, not a John Mellencamp concert tour.
