What's the trick to get the $39 purchase price? Getting the credit card? I went all through the purchase process and the price remained $78.99! Thought I was missing a special password or promotion..but can't find a thing to help on the website. If anyone can help, please let me know! Thanks!

I have been on Amazon.com for over a hour now and not able to get the price that is avertised.  I sent Tony & Sharon both a message and haven't heard back from either one of them.  any one else having trouble?

I got it to work for me.  It didn't work at 3pm EST, but at 4:30pm EST, I was able to get the price.  I did a Mellencamp search on Amazon, and then clicked on the Rural Route.  The price was 78.99 and then changed to $38.99.  It was called a "lightning deal" that brought the price to $38.99.

We are sorry for the difficulties, the box set was offered through their cyber monday lightning deals but that discounted price didn't show up on the item page on amazon for everyone

And Santa has arrived at my doorstop...alas have to wait a few weeks to open it but something to look forward to!  Have already seen the book and it is a beautifully designed piece with lots of interesting tidbits and memorabilia ... perfect for the Mellenhead on your list.  Can't wait to listen to all the tracks too!
