DOWN NO AISLE: While John Mellencamp reportedly is hot to marry girlfriend Meg Ryan, I’m hearing the actress is perfectly happy with maintaining the status quo. “Meg’s never been happier,” said a longtime friend of the actress. “She just sees no reason why they need to get married.”

I do not believe he is hot to marry her,but I do believe he had no intention to remarry. Story sounds one sided if you ask me.

Thanks Walktall for update.
However Shiela you could be right, but time will tell.  Knowing Johns history pattern with women probably someone took advantage of that and did an awful thing to start a rumor as rumors live a life of their own.
But none the less prayers are still going up.
And if this article is true then well hopefully God will give John a moment of clarity.
I agree with you 100%, he is a good man and he deserves best.  And thats to be happy, joyous and free.
And John if this sounds good to you, then take some time out (that means no wives, no girfeinds, no freinds with benefits and one niters) trust God and clean house.  This is what in codependency we call "being set free from the bondage of self."  There is a difference between being alone and loneliness.

keep the faith / peace & love

God grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference
