Hi, I recently purchased a 1955 Seeburg 100J Jukebox at an auction. Inside the jukebox was a brass plaque that said that it came from the home of John Cougar Mellencamp and that it was pictured on the back of one of his Albums. I am wondering if anyone could help me figure out what Album it is from and possibly have a picture of the back of the album, that i could then keep with the Juke Box. THANKS IN ADVANCED!!!! -Lisa Cool

It's The Lonesome Jubilee album. That jukebox was also in the "Cherry Bomb" video I think. Have a look for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KF0gsbQKhD8

WHERE HAS THIS THING BEEN SITTING ALL THESE YEARS? THE JUKEBOX ALSO APPEARS IN THE "PAPER IN FIRE" VIDEO.

WOW Thank you so much!!!!! I cannot believe that I actually have my hands on this exact machine!!! In regards to where it has been, it showed up at a local auction up here in Rhode Island! The brass plaque that stated it was from the Mellencamp residence was inside the back of the machine and I saw it, and put it back inside before bidding....=) .... If any of you are interested in this Juke Box, it will be listed tonight on my eBay auction site. Unfortunately I have no where to put this thing so it must move on to someone who can appreciate and use it! We list antiques and collectibles on eBay. Here is a link to our auctions. The Jukebox will be listed tonight! Thanks so so much for all of your help guys!!!!!!!

Oh no Guys....bad news....I got so excited when I saw the album photo and the video, but now I just went and actually compared them to my jukebox...although similar...it is NOT the same one.  Sad Bummer!!! Pretty balsy of someone to put that plaque in it though!! Damn I thought I had an amazing find! Guess I just got a really good buy on a classic Juke Box instead. Thank you all so much for your help though!! It will still be listed tonight! ..... I am posting a picture of my juke box so you can all share in my dissapointment.  Thanks again!!!
