OMG it looked like a great show, we got to see bits of it here in Australia on a news channel.

It is with a sad heart I put this up here:
I have just been diagnosed with breast cancer [currently recovering from a lumpectomy] and will be going through chemo / radiotherapy until the end of March 2019 - this includes all the dates I have bought tickets for.

When I bought the tickets I was living in Canada, but am now back living in Australia.

The problem being I cannot sell the tickets via 'ticket now' as you need to have a residence in US/Canada. Many of them are collect at the venue, but some are print at home. $2000+ is a lot of money to lose. *FYI i have also not be able to access any of the 'free' CD offer as they too only mail to USA/Canada.

I have 1 ticket for all these shows - 2nd row mostly, 2 third and 1 row H. They are all VIP bar 1.

New York all 3 dates x 1
Memphis x1
Nashville 2 dates x 1
Orlando x1
Clearwater 2 dates x 1

I have never met either John or Meg, but I wish them the best as they are making it work for them.

In this day and age it is hard to maintain relationships [or for many even be in  / start a relationship], let alone if you are in the spotlight.

Congratulations. 

Though I have heard this song a few times before by different artists, I was keen to hear John's version again.

So, I have had my first listen of the newly recorded version of - Eyes on the Prize [cover] - Other People's Stuff.

It reminded me a lot of the sound quality achieved on the 'No Better Than This' CD / album.

IMHO - slick rhythm and something to groove to.

I can't wait to hear this live.

Thanks for the info. I have said it in another thread, but will here too - we usually have to wait a while between albums/CDs - so this is another present courtesy of John [the live Chicago CD/DVD was the first] - thank you.  

I look forward to hearing the new arrangements for some / all? of the songs. As there are only 10 songs that would mean there are still spaces when performing live, for crowd pleasers / hits.

Will John perhaps be performing 'Eyes on the Prize' as a teaser for any of the remaining shows in Canada, such as Kamloops or Kelowna?

Would be a nice surprise for the Canadian fans.  

As this is the official list on the album, there are only 2 songs I'm not totally familiar with. Will be interesting to see how they are arranged. I'm excited about this, we usually have to wait ages between albums - win win for the fans! Thanks John!

A guest judge, like Keith Urban perhaps... but listen to John's thoughts on the processes of the newer artists and then you may have a great insight to whether he'd do this or not.

 Is there any chance that John and the band will be touring Australia after the USA tour 2019 or later that year? It has been a while since he has come 'Downunder'.

For consideration:
* who the tour promoter is
* when the ads for the shows are actually aired [not 11pm -  midnight, like last time] and frequency
* hitting the social media sites hard to promote and giving enough time for people to plan etc for shows
* getting interviews on the main talk shows [including radio] / morning TV / paid TV like Foxtel, with John to announce the tour etc
* finding someone who knows the type of venues suited to John's style of concert - wineries, not the way to go, long ways to travel, limited accommodation and shite to leave after the show if you are driving - eg Sidney Myer music bowl - great indoor/outdoor area, suited for warmer weather from November to March OR The Plenary - great, intimate venue, new, comfy seating and sound and accessible for transport and accommodation needs [and this is just Melbourne venues as a start]
* picking venues that are central, allows for a wider range of people to access the shows and stay in accommodation that is suited to their financial levels - ie pick a venue within the main cities or larger country cities / towns - guaranteed better attendance and link to public transport etc
* comparative prices to tickets in the US and Canada  - VIP tickets retailed for the last tour, which was cancelled in OZ, for over $1000, compared to $300+ in the US and Canada - even with conversions to AU$, the discrepancy in prices is a lot. NOTED: it is understandable that there a large costs associated with a tour and the distance obviously. I believe IMHO that lowering prices would also improve ticket sales. **Look at how easily they have been selling for the USA tour next year...

Any other Aussies out there have any more ideas? - we really want to get John and the band back to OZ soon...

maybe once the Canadian tour is done we will get more info... or perhaps he'll treat them with a showing of the new single as a taster in the last couple of shows? Who knows...
