thanks a lot for this piece.  i found it really interesting.

for me, hearing someone explain the meaning and reasoning behind things gives it so much more life.

while i've been to 3 shows, and noticed the lighting and the backdrop, i must admit i hadn't seen them in the way Steve described.  i will definitely pay more attention at the next show.

this was really a neat 'behind the scenes' piece.  thanks again

Thank you for sharing this amazing insight.  I am getting so excited for my upcoming show.  I wish I had been able to get tickets to at least another.  I want to be a part of this, after 26 shows, I think I may be finally seeing "the one" I've always wanted and JM's been wanting to share.

I love the lighting, etc! it was awesome from the balcony, as was the sound.

just a side note, Steve is sitting on the Hoagy Carmichael statue on the IU campus. Hoagy at the piano, so cool

Tony, tell Steve how much we are enjoying the lights!!

I also loved this from 2007: which Steve did too

I am so glad to see this post - was at the 11/16 show in IN and the set is fantastic.  After watching the documentary, this backdrop, lighting and even the hanging bulbs added to the authentic feel of this very different sound.  I was in the balcony - and at one point, I looked at the stage specifically b/c I thought it looked as though there was sawdust on the floor!  The lighting had such an amazing effect that it really took on the look of an old barn.  Bravo to you Steve Cohen - your work does NOT go unnoticed!  Tamz
