I am going to go to the box office tomorrow to buy the tickets without any absurd ticketmaster fees.  I noticed on ticketmaster that one gets a free download of the album with a purchase.  Will tickets I buy at the box office in the morning allow me to get a free download code?
Thanks!

Downloads will only be offered to known ticket buyers who provide an email while buying. I would be surprised if those tickets purchased at a ticket counter would collect that information and therefore those tickets probably don't end up getting a download. However check back with me in a few weeks.

Tony,

Thank you for the answer.  The box office did not collect any information.  Just swiped the credit card.  Saved me about $12 per ticket in fees. I would rather pay for the album than give ticketmaster money if I don't have to. There were about 10 scalpers ahead of me who spent the night, but i still got decent seats.

Ditto on not wanting to pay the ticketbastard fees.
About the scalpers, howd you know they were scalpers?
Did they have funny hairdo's?

Just a head's up... many venue Box Offices, primarily those associated with arenas, are now charging service charges on tickets bought in person although the charges might be slightly lower than the ticketing agency.  Examples are Scotiabank Place in Ottawa and the Bell Centre in Montreal.

All the best.

I bought mine through the box office...and paid a healthy service fee.

Does anyone know if the free download is available?  I'm buying the CD for myself....gotta have them ALL!  But my friends who are going.....I'd give them the download version.

If you did not give the ticket seller your email address during your purchase there will be no way to for them to contact you about the download. Please contact me in about a week about this at [email protected] after I speak to the concert promoter.

Thanks

Tony,

You absolutely rule! Thanks for taking care of all of the ticket buyers.

To the other posters,

You are correct, some box offices charge a huge fee now.  The Fox Theater in Atlanta does not. Most of the venues (Lakewood ect.) who are live nation do now charge which is bad. I could tell they were scalpers because it was one shady guy who hired 4 homeless guys to wait in line. I doubt they were JM fans because I tried to get into a discussion of the last tour and they looked at me funny.
