1007  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ticket & Tour Questions / Re: Premium Package Question on: August 09, 2010, 08:39:36 pm
Will you be able to get two tickets if you purchase the premuim package? I want to ba able to sit with my sister for the show.

It will be a limit of 4 tickets for the presale, no matter if it is the premium packages or the standard presale.
1008  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ticket & Tour Questions / Re: No Better Than This - Fall Tour Ticket Question on: August 09, 2010, 08:37:09 pm
Tony,  it was posted that the premium pkgs.  would be 225.-250. is this still true?   Is it safe to assume the 125.00 tickets will then be after row 10?

The Premium Package Tickets are $125 tickets with the extra charge added on that covers the merchandise and assures them of being in the front 10 rows. That brings them to the $250 price range PER ticket. There is a limit of 4 per order.

There will be $125 tickets in the presales that are NOT in the packages. Some of those tickets should be in the front 10 rows.

There should be tickets in all price classes in the presale, although it is always possible the lower priced tickets might not be for various reasons.

I do not have access to sections/maps so I can't say how the pricing matches up for any given venue.
1009  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ticket & Tour Questions / Re: Login / Pre-sale issue on: August 09, 2010, 08:33:16 pm
If I can login to the website, does that mean that my membership is still good?  I thought for sure that it was time to renew.  I've always done it through Clubcherrybomb, does that make a difference?

ClubCherryBomb PAID memberships are no more, and no more tickets are offered under that name.

They have nothing to do with the new presales for this Fall tour. The only connection they have is that if you were a member of ClubCherryBomb you have a user/password that you can log into Mellencamp.com with.

If you are having trouble logging in email [email protected] and we will email instructions!
1010  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ticket & Tour Questions / Re: Login / Pre-sale issue on: August 09, 2010, 08:31:01 pm
I think what the first user meant was when you hit the presale button, it sends you to a page asking you to join the community, even if you're already logged in.  When I filled in the form and sent it, it told me the username and email were already in use, which I know cuz theyre mine.  If I am already logged in and a registered user, shouldnt I be able to skip that JOIN page?

I assume you mean the presale banner ad at the top of the tour grid? I am going to swap that out tomorrow and make it point to a news article that explains how the presale works.

Confirm that is the loop you are talking about being stuck in.

There aren't any live presale links on the TOUR page grid other than farm aid. Tomorrow we will be loading in the links where it says PRESALE that will take you to ticket seller's page.

The password will be TBA until about 10 minutes before the presale when we will post it in for people who are logged in. If you see the test message next to the Farm Aid presale on the tour page you are good to go for the presale.
1011  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / Farm Aid 2010 / Re: Did you get your Farm Aid 2010 Tickets? on: August 09, 2010, 08:27:01 pm
There is nothing like a quick honest reply to all our questions, Tony!
Thank you by the way.......
This new site is great.  I know a few that were trying to buy and the only seat that came up was for one person in B5 or B 6 row 22 seat 4.  You can't buy 2 or more.  Presale was a success!

Yeah as of this morning we were down to 4 single tickets all in different sections I think, not the best way to go with your buddies!
1012  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ask Mellencamp.com / Re: John M tour in Europe ? on: August 09, 2010, 08:24:45 pm
First sorry for my english, did John have soon make a tour in Europe ?
would it be possible that he will come (back) in europe ?
I'm a fan since 15 year's and i would be so happy if he comme in France

John has said in interviews over the past few years he is considering it and there seems to be a distinct chance that if this tour goes well it could be extended overseas! Cross your fingers!
1013  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / Bloomington, IN (1st Show) / Re: I'll Be At Bloomington on: August 09, 2010, 08:24:10 pm
Question for Tony B.  During the presale are you going to be able to buy all level's of tickets?  For example if I wanted to buy the $92 tickets on presale day I could?  Any way we could get info on ticket prices compared to seating charts?

$125-Middle
$92-side
$72 - Lower rear middle
$52-Balcony front
$25 - Balcony rear

Would this be right?

The Premium Package Tickets are $125 tickets with the extra charge added on that covers the merchandise and puts them in the front 10 rows.

There will be $125 tickets in the presales that are NOT in the packages.

There should be tickets in all price classes in the presale, although it is always possible the lower priced tickets might not be for various reasons.

1014  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / Farm Aid 2010 / Re: Did you get your Farm Aid 2010 Tickets? on: August 08, 2010, 10:18:51 pm
We had a nice big crush of activity on the presale as a lot of people logged on and pulled up tickets to check them out. But ultimately a bunch of those people did not pull the trigger and purchase the tickets. So tickets were popping back up in the system for availability all day and through the weekend. I think we are getting pretty low on stock now, if not even sold out. I'm going to check with the ticket point people in the morning to see where we are.

We got ours yesterday morning when we decided to go to Milwaukee from St. Cloud, MN.
2 tickets - Row 23 - B6.  Very happy because I could not get 2 tickets this morning on the Mellencamp presale. Are the presale tickets sold out?  I could get 1 but not 2 when I tried again this afternoon.  I just wanted to see if I would get better seats today.  I was so happy that I bought them yesterday. Great seats...!!!!!!  Looking forward to Wednesday for the presale for the 2 concerts in Mpls in November!  Love the new Site!  Great Job!

I think my heart rhythm changed.

Amen to that!
1016  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / Articles / Re: Rolling Stone Magazine - "No Better Than This" Review on: August 08, 2010, 09:46:11 pm
I have been told that the reviewers don't actually get to give the stars but rather the editors. Can't say that for certain however. It's like how reporters don't get to write the headlines for their newspaper articles.

I'm pissed they only gave the album three-and-a-half stars, but I'm happy that they made it their featured review for once. There's is a cool caricature of John that accompanies the review that is worth checking out. This is a four-star album if ever there was one, and maybe even five stars. I love it the more I listen to it and I've had it for six weeks now. Not a song on there that I don't like.
1017  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ticket & Tour Questions / Re: Opening Act on: August 08, 2010, 09:45:05 pm
While I am yet to see any cuts of the documentary I expect that it will be as much about making/recording the album while touring with Dylan as anything else.

I think you read what I wrote and interpreted it the way you wanted to.  I was not complaining, I was hopeful.

Oh boy, here we go again. The tour has just been announced and their complaining already.
1018  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ask Mellencamp.com / Re: Refunds for Cherry Bomb Members? on: August 08, 2010, 09:43:47 pm
My membership with Club Cherrybomb expired in mid July. I did not renew because I couldn't. How do I become a paid member? I enjoy getting early ticket access and the contests as well. Thanks

Please read the front page of ClubCherryBomb.net for the full explanation and update.

There will be no more PAID memberships and no more branding of "fan club". From now on presales will be free and for the members of this Mellencamp.com Community.
