Since the completion of the Sad Clowns & Hillbillies tour last year John has been busy working on several projects behind the scenes, including the opening of a new art exhibit at the ACA Galleries in New York City with a new collection of works running from April 26 - June 2nd. John's band members have been working on some non Mellencamp related projects check out their updates below.

Mike Wanchic

Mike Wanchic, John's long time guitarist, recently completed production on singer/songwriter Stoll Vaughan's latest album The Conversation. The album also features Andy York, Dane Clark and Troye Kinnett from the Mellencamp band. The full album is being released on June 29, 2018 and will be available on all digital platforms. Part 1 of the album is available now. Mellencamp fans may remember Stoll from his opening slot on John's summer 2005 tour." Check out the exclusive video for the first release from the album "I Was All Alone" HERE.

Andy York

Guitarist Andy York played in the house band for the 37th Annual John Lennon Tribute in NYC last December, which featured artists Patti Smith, Joan Osborne and others. He was also a house band member for the annual Tibet House Concert at Carnegie Hall in February 2018, again with Patti Smith and others, as well as for the City Winery-sponsored Led Zeppelin Tribute at Carnegie Hall in March 2018 supporting music for underprivileged youth, with guests Bettye LaVette, The Zombies, Matthew Sweet, O.A.R., Living Colour and others. Currently Andy is supervising the mixes for a 2013 Ian Hunter acoustic tour live album.

The incredibly talented violinist is busy working on several personal projects that are near and dear to her heart.

Dane Clark

Dane is cranking out music in his Thundersound Studio. He is completing his own new album and is producing several other projects including: his daughter/singer/songwriter Abigail Rose Clark, Don Stevenson from Moby Grape and country singer/songwriter Jason Sturgeon from Nashville. Dane co-wrote on all projects, along with producing, playing multiple instruments, mixing and mastering! Check out Dane's new tunes on SoundCloud.

John Gunnell aka Jon E Gee

Jon plays constantly on studio sessions, including sessions for Dane Clark's daughter Abigail. Additionally, he has been playing on sessions for some local commercials along with sessions with a variety of up and coming songwriters & artists. He plays out live on a regular basis with several artists as well. Jon's off the road focus is his Carmel Music Academy located in Carmel Indiana. He loves that it allows him focus on future songwriters, artists, & musicians, plus it uses his experience as a music instructor for the last 24 years. Vist them at www.carmelmusicacademy.com. Be sure and say hello to the Carmel Music Academy Front Line (Mrs. Gee, Greta & Stephanie) and tell them that Jon E. Gee sent you! Jon thanks the fans for their years of dedication and support.
