John will be a headliner of the Sing Me Back Home: The Music Of Merle Haggard, an all-star concert event taping at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday, April 6, 2017 in honor of what would have been Merle’s 80th birthday, and the one-year anniversary of his passing. John, along with Willie Nelson, Kenny Chesney, and Miranda Lambert, will headline the event with performances by Dierks Bentley, Hank Williams Jr., The Avett Brothers, Alison Krauss, Ronnie Dunn, Warren Haynes, Jamey Johnson, Kacey Musgraves, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lucinda Williams, Ben Haggard, John Anderson, and Bobby Bare. John will sit down with CNN Tonight with Don Lemonto talk about his new album Sad Clowns & Hillbillies, and discuss his new single "Easy Target" which focuses on his continuation to convey the truth through this passionate and plain-spoken song.
