Mellencamp Snubbed in Songwriters Hall of Fame Nominations

The list of inductees into the Songwriters Hall of Fame's Class of 2011 has been revealed and John is not among the list of nominees this year, even though he was the last two years. Somehow Garth Brooks is on the list on nominees, even though he didn't write most of his biggest hits, and the ones he did get a writing credit on he shares with four of five other people. He's not a great songwriter by any stretch, and it's asinine that he's nominated and John isn't. These people need to wake up in a hurry. How John isn't already in the Songwriters Hall of Fame is a major mystery, and to think that Garth Brooks could possibly get in before him makes me want to throw up. In reality, this kind of thing totally discredits the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
