I was wondering if John has a Facebook page? Secondly if he does is he active on it...got this message from him...it has many errors and I'm sure John wouldn't write such things...
 I Accepted your request for a purpose, I have been busy with shows and many more, traveling, thank you for the support and love, I appreciate. I'm looking for someone i can definitely trust cause i have got some few things I need to do and take care of without my management knowing about it so i need one of my loyal fan to handle this for me.
And then this one
I want one true fan i can call up to the stage at least to show the people how much love i,ve got for my loyal fans
The reason why i need someone to do it is because the security company having some of my briefcases doesn't want any media buzz of their shutdown and as you know anything concerning my name is a big media story . i have been advised by my attorney to find someone out of my circle to give this task to and compensate them for their worries..
I'm thinking it is a scammer - @john.mellencamp.39, the Facebook page is very similar to the official one with the blue tick

John does not use the internet, he does not personally use Facebook or Twitter. So any contacts you get are imposters who you should please report to Facebook or Twitter. Please do not interact with them or give them any information. Always report false accounts like this to us at [email protected]

Heh, you should've told me before- I just had to go through this same crap several months ago. I don't even want to get into it. There's billions of fake accounts out there. Ignore it! This probably won't be the first time you'll get a message from weirdos like them.
