The Kennedy Center yesterday announced its 2012 - 2013 lineup, and it's full of ballet, nights of jazz, dates with the National Symphony Orchestra, and lots of ballet. Take a look at the highlights below before viewing the full schedule.

• This Land Is Your Land: Woody Guthrie at 100 will celebrate the life and work of folk singer Woody Guthrie with performances by his son, Arlo, who is often the answer to clues in crossword puzzles, and John Mellencamp. Sunday, Oct. 14 at 6 p.m.

• War Horse, the play on which the Oscar-nominated movie was based, will run at the Kennedy Center from Oct. 23 - Nov. 11. This story about a boy who can't forget his beloved horse and goes on a dangerous mission to save him from war won five Tony Awards and requires a "horse choreographer." Tickets are not yet on sale, but will run from $25 - $130.

• Constantine Maroulis, the guy with the "rocker" persona from a forgotten season of American Idol, will take the lead in Jekyll & Hyde, for which he received a Tony nomination. The play runs from Nov. 20 - 25. Tickets are not on sale yet, but cost $25 - $115.

• Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane will prove he can do pretty much whatever he wants by singing with the NSO pops. He'll be singing the hits of Sammy Cahn in a tribute to the songwriter, who penned tracks for Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, and Dean Martin. OK, we guess. Nov. 23 - 24, $20 - $85. Tickets are not yet on sale.

• Nordic Cool 2013, an international festival of theater, dance, music, visual arts, and literature meant to highlight Scandinavian culture, takes place Feb. 19 - March 17, 2013. Warning: Most people there will be strikingly beautiful.

• Whether or not Mitt Romney wins the White House in November, Mormons are on their way to D.C. The hit show The Book of Mormon, co-written by Trey Parker and Matt Stone of South Park, won nine Tony Awards in 2011. Tickets are not yet on sale for the show's run from July 9 to Aug. 18, but they'll cost $43 - $250.
