John appeared at New York's 92 ST Y back in March for a wide-ranging discussion with David Fricke, the veteran Rolling Stone writer who wrote the magazine's first cover story on John and who spent time in Memphis covering John's recording session in 2009 at Sun Studio for No Better Than This. Some excerpts from their conversation have just been posted on the 92 ST Y and offer some insight into John's early life growing up in Seymour as well as the influence of his grandfather and the Sun session.
