1  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / Tour Talk / Re: Durham, NC Show on: March 04, 2011, 08:10:30 am
The drums were also far too loud at the Atlanta show (I posted on another thread already). It was mostly the bass drums. It significantly impacted my enjoyment too. I was 5th row from stage on side so speakers were in front of us. But I walked around the venue a bit during the show and it wasn't much better. The bass drum was ridiculous!!! Big fan for years and have seen several shows ... I like the set and the variety very much ... but the bass drums ruined a lot of the show for me. I agree the mix was bad. It was Metallica drums at a Enya concert.
2  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / Atlanta, GA / Great Show in Atlanta!!, except for one thing ... on: February 28, 2011, 11:21:39 am
I enjoyed another Mellencamp show last night! Big Fan for years! Fox was a good place to see the band. But was anybody else bothered by the volume (loud!) of the bass drum? Not the entire band or even the drums overall, just the booming bass drum. ?
