MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: Help what are the best John Mellencamp songs?

This is very difficult for me. Mellencamp's music is some awesome! There are songs that I love just because they are fun, like Theo and Weird Henry and Hurt so Good; and there are songs that i love because they have deep meaning, such as Save Some Time to Dream and Ride Back Home. I guess my favorites often change... but right now here is my list...
5. Longest Days 4. Minutes to Memories 3. Hand To Hold Onto 2. Check it Out 1. Pink Houses - Best song EVER written!

MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ticket & Tour Questions / Trying to find DVD

Hello! I am hoping that someone could possibly point me in the right direction! I am taking my girlfriend to see John on November 19th. I am a huge fan, but this is going to be her first Mellencamp show. She is not very familiar with his material, so I have been introducing her to his music. I have been trying diligently to find a DVD of the Mellencamp biography that was aired by CMT… or any other biography / informational DVD. I have checked E-Bay, Amazon and CMT’s website. If anyone has any other ideas of where I could maybe purchase this, please let me know. Your help is greatly appreciated!

NON-JOHN DISCUSSION / The Melting Pot / Re: Walter Reed/Stevie Nicks Concert

I enjoyed your post. I don't think that enough credit is given to artists that donate time and money to help others. The Stevie Nicks song is an excellent example of that. Farm Aid is another excellent example of artists coming together, donating time, money and other resources to help individuals in need. We should be thankful for all that they do John T.

MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / No Better Than This Tour Talk / Clowes Show (Indianapolis) November 19, 2011

I received my premium ticket packages in the mail! The t-shirts were awesome! I loved the posters - they rocked!! I also received the laminates. I have been to approximately 20 Mellencamp shows and have had some awesome tickets. I have even had the side stage tickets, which are super! This is my first time having a laminate. I know that it states on the laminate that it does not provide backstage access; however, I was wondering, are fans ever allowed backstage or the opportunity to meet John or the band? I have been a fan my entire life and I think that meeting John would be awesome!
Also, I was wondering if anyone was planning to meet prior to the concert. I am from the Terre Haute area so I will stay in Indy that weekend. I think that it would be an excellent idea for fans to get together at a restaurant prior to the show!
