Is the whole band accompanying John or is he playing acoustic solo?

no curfew issue....Bayfest was to run to midnight - he was done at 11:10pm.  I have seen him over 35 times in 25 years and I don't understand how he can cut some shows short (I've seen this before) and feel it's ok.  People pay good money and get a fraction of the show.

The good news was Mike Wanchic was back on tour after a medical absence of some sort. The bad news was John cut many songs from the set list compared to previous concerts - only playing 70 mins. The warm up band played that long. Not good.

I saw a few YouTube videos from recent Canadian shows and didn't see Mike on stage.  Where is he?  I am going to the Sarnia show and it just wouldn't be the same without him on stage as the verteran of the band.

Watching some YouTube videos it looks like mike wanchic is missing from recent shows. Can anyone verify this and where he's at?

What is written on John G's bass during the Tavis Smiley performances?  I can't make out all the writing.  Thanks.
