Neil Young has always been anti CD.  He's a through and through advocate for vinyl and I have to agree with him.  Vinyl does have a better sound.  It's more natural.  I have a very high end CD (DVD) player (and stereo system) that does produce a very vinyl like sound.  I'd say it's as close to vinyl as you could get.

I'm also enjoying No Better Than This.  What's really amazing about it is the fact that John recorded it in mono and the sound is exceptionally good. (check out my album review on the "All About John" section)  Easter Eve is my favorite song.  I love story songs like that.  The only question I have about the song is, could a 14 year old kid really beat up a grown man?  How tough must that kid be?

I'm new to John's forum but have been a fan for many years.  The first 45 I bought from him was Check It Out.  To this day I still love that song.  Mellencamp, like Bruce Springsteen (I'm a huge fan of his as well) has done some terrific stuff in the last few years.  I'm looking forward to seeing John in April. (Vancouver, BC)
