i don't think JM's paintings would sell within the average person's budget though I have not inquired to prove this to be true. Maybe the team that admins this site could pass along to John a sincere wish and plea? JM could consider this possibly as a charity fundraising venture of choice if further motivation is needed. i have dreamed of and would love to own something that JM painted.
He said in his Jane Pauley interview he always needs to be creating something daily. Could JM create miniature art pieces, small paintings or even pendant pieces that could be strung up on leather cord of his characters or thoughts? This might be something those that love JM's art but could not afford a gallery piece could manage to own. How about it John? The sale could be launched from his art website too?!

Hello All & TonyBClubManager,
I really appreciate the moderator here pointing out the link i posted for the A&E by Request concert to be a bootleg release. Knowing how John feels about music being ripped off by download and thereby he and other artists shorted their due, i feel embarrassed at having been duped by the site.
Again, thanks to the moderator for uncovering that truth!

Well Everyone,
I believe John has a read between the lines message even in all that commentary. We're never going to really know all about him, as he said the artist leaves the shadow persona visible to the public; but maybe he's trying to quietly convey 'here's as much as i'd like you to know about me or remember me by'.
He says he's 65 at the time of recording the narrative and so maybe this is it or maybe his touring days are like how he ends singing "Small Town". You think the song is over maybe, then he counts "1,2,3,4.."; and there a few more bars and a couple more minutes to savor listening to John and the band play.
Was the summer of 2017 his band's and his last tour? Anyone seen or heard of 2018 concert dates for John? Is that the tease or the clue?

So watching John in an interview with Jane Pauley summer, 2017, John says he's not that interesting. Truth be told, he's just finished a tour on his album Sad Clowns & Hillbillies that gave the band and him rave reviews, had an extended display of his rock memorabilia at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH, was nominated for the Songwriters Hall of Fame, results seemingly still forthcoming, has his Chicago Theater Plain Spoken Tour concert coming out on NetFlix 2.1.18 and has rekindled the spark or the flame between Meg Ryan and him, all the time media watching, reporting on him, paparazzi moving on every block that Meg and him are visible walking and so on. So John, how is it that you believe after forty years, you're just not that interesting?
Yet, there seems to be hushed silence about a 2018 tour or any mention of touring any further here or anywhere in the outer space of news media. Has the band and John decided to call it quits on touring? Is the hush on touring due to John has had enough of the public and is going to live out the remainder of his life quietly pursuing family, love and his other artistic interests?
I am here to say John is incorrect in saying he is just not that interesting as he stated in that interview with last summer. I know there are more than just the couple people here and I that would like to know the answer to this burning question, "Is there going to be a tour this year or anymore touring, John?"

You know Jgmanns81,
I'm old enough to have seen John's concerts; and i'd like to see what you mention in more than just a song or two on YouTube! I'm sure there are plenty of people around my age who were old enough but work, economics, latter years fans, for whatever reason; they would love to watch and listen to the older music again! This is not to say, JM if you read these, that the current music isn't as appreciated! Any form of your muse recorded has been and continues to be uber awesome!

I am going to repost this here from my post in "What's Next" and hope for a reply to this idea? I would add to that Evansville, IN destination a possible revisit to Ravinia?
Hello John & Staff,
I wonder and forward a humble suggestion as I've had time to reflect on the SCAH tour where I attended in Illinois. I know your SCAH tour was set up to appease the fans for the good ole favorites and set up attention for a few of the songs off the new album. John if you tour even one more time, how would it be if the band and you play/perform some songs we don't know and some songs we do, only let the theme of the tour revolve around what we love about John Mellencamp and as the people are coming through the gates, use technology to tabulate the songs people miss hearing and would love to hear again live that are untypical of those played over the years or at FarmAid. Let that be the hook that brings people to the last tour, "Yours and Mine" Tour? Wink
Only God knows if it would be but no one is getting younger; and even though John, your band and YOU look as hot as ever, how many more tours are you really wanting to do or will do, 0? Then how many tours would people still fill venues to see you in? You have SO MANY albums of material that people don't typically hear unless going to their own collection or possibly YouTube, etc. There are a s_ton of songs and every concert would be different; but your band and you did that for Live by Request in 2004 and calls never stopped but only a few got through.
It would be so awesomely wonderful to see something like that show you performed for Bloomington in 2004 performed across the country! Roll Eyes Maybe a member or two of the old bands could even return to perform as a reunion performance even and if that were in Indiana, well I could get to that, being a fellow Hoosier! What i would pay to see that live!
GOD bless you John, you are so loved!

Hey John & Staff,
You were awesome on Morning Joe and thank you John for telling it like has been, is now and probably always will be!
I wonder if this year's Sad Clowns and Hillbillies tour told you anything about how loved you really are to all of the average, middle-class, uncounted, no true voice and forgotten by Uncle Sam, folk!
"You see through everything and nothin' seems worthwhile And hypocrite used to be such a big word to you And it don't seem to mean anything to you now Just try to live each and every precious moment Don't be discouraged by the future forget the past That's old advise but it'll be good to you..
Between a laugh and a tear And that's as good as it can get for us And there ain't no reason to stop tryin'"
