Happy Belated Birthday Meg!  My 50th is two months away.  Each of us can count the blessing that we get to enjoy another day when another passes us by.  By the way, I would care about his personal life if I was a part of his! He certainly is a part of mine and I could not imagine my life without his SONG.  Whatever it may be at the time. I listened "John Mellencamp" Album from 1998 this morning and every song made me tear up. His influence for me to find a happy life can not be measured.  He follows his heart. Hearts can be fullfilled or broken at times, It's life.  I found happiness in 1998.  This album is "Ours"....  On Thanksgiving Day I personally thanked the Good Lord for John and his voice, this is one blessing that I will never take for granted......... The other is my Love and Happiness.  It was a thankful Thanksgiving in so many ways.  

It seems that marilynb is the one that wants the attention.  I said it before, quit reading her posts if they upset you.  Although, I have been reading them again after a few months of not readidng then and now I laugh out loud.  I used to try to bark back but it just is not worth the effort. The only time she chimes in is when there is NO news or chats from last night's show or if his is not living his day to day life like she thinks he should live it.  She thrives on bragging about praying for us all that don't agree with her and trying to save John's life instead of focusing on the things we love about JM.  You can't reason with people like this so just give up.  Life is too short.  Who cares about his personal life?  Instead.......How about if we all hope and pray that he keeps writing and singing and touring.  These prayers have been answered for years.  Thanks John for caring about your fans. I know that this is very important to you.  You never disappoint your true fans.

I hope he checks out his own website periodically.  He would be so proud of all the photos and videos that his fans capture in the "Minutes to Memories".....that he creates for us. We are so lucky.

The length of his legs of his tours varies, just like everything else he does.
Save Some Time to Dream............He can tour again in the upper Midwest.
I saved time today to dream.  Hoping it all comes true...........
 

He's already played Minnesota and Iowa on this tour.

He played in MN last November.  Not on this leg......That is a whole year already....... Just crossing my fingers that he comes back here again in the spring.  New leg.....

Well Said Walktall2010.  Some people are never happy.  I wish that many would quit complaining.  John and his band won't ever put out a live concert on DVD if it continues.
I just wish I could make it to ONE of the perfomances on this leg. Or put in a DVD to get my fix of him....  I am hoping that another leg gets announced this Spring in the Midwest.  MN and Iowa are calling........ Please?
WI is close but the performances are in midweek.  First time in the 5 state area in which I live in the past 15 years that I couldn't make it work with our schedule.  It bums me to no end.  I will pay top dollar to see him sing NEW or OLD in whichever way he wants to perform them... Rock, Country, Folk, Acoustic, Gospel, it don't matter.
He is still performing...... We shall all be thankful for that.

Let us all just realize she will keep preaching.  People like her will just keep repeating herself no matter what we say especially when we do not agree with her.  We all have our opinions but she is one that thinks we all should think like her and if we don't, she will keep on preaching.  Just like John sings........."I don't need no Preacher around"........ They are his words in a song..... it doesn't matter what song... Artists words are all tied together no matter what song they are singing.  I agree with many of you............ Marilynb Quit comparing your life to John's.  Some us don't care if it's physical or emotional what you tend to think he is dealing with.  It's his life and you can't Save Him.  There is only one that can and he was hung on the cross.  It's like in a bar.......Don't talk Politics or Religion.  There is no way there will ever be a way for everyone to agree to disagree on these 2 issues.  So don't try. At this point I am finished reading MarilynB's posts.  They are getting very annoying.
There is nothing worse than when someone thinks that they know someone's else's life more than the person themselves.  How can you?  You may have walked in his shoes theoratically but you are not John.  Past experiences may be similar but they are not exactly the same.  John has been the same John since the day I became ONE of his number one fans.  That was in 1974....... He has not changed.  How many years ago was that?  Pray for him all you want but don't think we all have to think like you do.  Because we don't and won't.  Talk about repeating the same pattern over and over again..... You do on your threads.  It's somewhat contridicting.  I really think you have not moved on because if you did, you wouldn't dwell on it as much as you do to an ICON such as JM.  Legends are not only made up in ones own minds.  People make other people their Legends. John is am American Icon Legend in my mind.  Please let him live his own life.  Thanks for listening.  I feel much better.

Please let happiness win..... even if it could be shortlived..............Life is way too short not to.  I just lost a beloved friend suddenly with no warning due to a ruptured aortic valve.  If you don't have your health or your life, you can't be happy or sad.  Why mention "this" all the time? Let it rest.  It's preaching.  Or do I want to say Preachy?  But I don't think that is a work in the English Language.  Who the heck ever wants to hit rock bottom anyway.  I think we all try to avoid it.
