This is why I don't come to the boards much anymore.  It used to be fun, lifelong friendships were made. Now it gives me a headache.

I mentioned this on another thread, but I have not yet bought this CD or whatever combo it is.  Can someone tell me what exactly to buy?  I am not a tech person and I don't have ipods or ipads or iphones or anthing like that. And should I wait until after the play to listen?  If those who have seen the play can give me their opinion.

This article kind of points out what I have been wondering about.  I want to buy this soundtrack, but being very technologically challenged, I do not know what format to buy. I don't just want a CD if there is additional product, but I don't want multiples or something that I won't have the ability to play.  When you start talking digital downloads, i tunes, extra features, I sadly long for the days of just buying a CD at the music store or a book at the bookstore.  And, an aside to those who have already seen the play. Should I wait till after the play to listen to this?  I don't want to spoil it for myself.

I really hope to get a chance to see this sometime!

Interesting because I read all of the reviews and only saw the one that could be considered as negative. People believe what they want to believe.

I would really like to see this play.  I just hope it doesn't fall during tax season once again.

Exciting news!

Another one of those things, like politicians using songs, that doesn't make sense to me. If you are going to so blatantly use someone else's work for your own purposes, I would think you would at least ask permission or give that person a heads up. Not like it's a quick mention in a story or a few seconds of a soundbite.

Last week we went to see Roger Waters and "The Wall". It was one of the most spectacular and interesting things I have ever seen.  However, every third person was sitting there, looking at their phones, texting and not even looking at the show.  Between that and walking out to get more beer, 5 times during the first half, I wonder why people even go to the concert. 

I still think about the idiot behind me screaming for a particular song at JM's Heinz Hall concert at the beginning of the NBTT tour. Sometimes you need to shut up and listen, you might enjoy the show.  I didn't come to listen to you.

I just have to say that I was glad to have seen the first shows from the NBTT tour.  I know this setlist makes the casual fan a lot happier, but I am so grateful that I got to see The West End, Easter Eve and my favorite Right Behind Me, and the over 2 hour 24 song set. I also loved the "Evening with JM format with the film and art show, but again, the casual fan was busy talking or getting a drink in the lobby during the film for the most part. I was very fortunate.   

Just getting caught up on the boards since vacation, but I am curious if another fellow CCB member was in VA Beach last week.  As we were riding the shuttle my husband spotted a JM themed car license plate along the main road parked at a hotel, maybe around 20th street.  I didn't see it but it said something about CCB! I had hoped to run into another fellow club member, but we didn't see the car again later.  He thinks it was red, but it might have been wrong.  Are you out there?

Thank you for the fantastic review and insights into the play.  I really love the sound of the music and what I have seen in the clip.  I so hope that this is extended or eventually comes to a theater a little closer to home.  I just can't get away for this long of a road trip this time of year between my two jobs and I really want to see this play that I have been waiting for so long to enjoy.  Congratulations to everyone involved on bringing this project together!
