The spectrum on Sirius  really is the best example of what classic rock stations should be. Great mix of old and new

 John's always talking about writing the definitive  John Mellencamp song ...Who agrees that Blue Charlotte is just that? Such a beautiful song, I think it's the most moving song hes written

 Does any one know where the "That's What Arthela said"  story on the back off Plain Spoken came from. Seems like Tennessee Williams, and John is a big fan, so that would make sense. Or is this something John wrote??

 There was early talk that T bone Burnet would return as producer, and some of the press stuff on the album has him on the project. I just read something that it was in fact self produced by John. What have others heard- I would be surprised if John didnt work with T Bone again, and would wonder what happen otherwise.

 John has been back in studio for almost 2 months. Any updates? I wonder if this album will come together quick like Trouble no More, or Uh huh, or if it will be one that takes months not weeks. Would be nice to have a new record and tour this summer.

 Hope he sticks to it... This is great news, but with the Ghost Brothers Tour this fall (  I am not sure of his involvement in tour, but he stated his band is the band for the show) , Seems this could get pushed off. I hope this is a return to the Typical JM Record. I enjoyed the detour of No Better, but I am hopping Mike W returns on this record, he hasnt really played on the last few with T Bone.  I hope itis more in kin with Freedoms Road.
