1  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ask Mellencamp.com / Mellencamp Original Artwork for sale on: March 29, 2012, 09:35:32 am
Do you know where original JM artwork is sold online?  I know of only the occasional charity auction, typically in Indiana.  If no originals are available, what about prints?
Thanks.
2  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ask Mellencamp.com / Re: Walk Tall - changed lyric on: January 01, 2012, 03:13:35 pm
Thanks for the responses though I'm disappointed to hear John changed the lyric under pressure.
"So be careful of those killing in Jesus' name; he don't believe in killing at all" is (or 'was; I guess) one of my favorite lines ever by John.
3  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ask Mellencamp.com / Walk Tall - changed lyric on: December 29, 2011, 11:32:50 pm
Why did John change the fist verse of Walk Tall this tour?
It went from
"So be careful of those killing in Jesus' name; he don't believe in killing at all."
To
"And I wish you all a long sideline and the strength to walk tall."

4  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ask Mellencamp.com / Crepe Soul on: November 17, 2011, 10:40:11 pm
Who were the other members of Crepe Soul? (John's band when he was a teenager)
In particular, John frequently mentions a singer in the band who was mistreated because of his race.  Do you know where that fellow is today?
Does John still have contact with the former band members at all?
Did any make music their career?
Are there any recordings of the band available?
5  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ask Mellencamp.com / Re: two unreleased songs from "John Mellencamp" 1998? on: November 14, 2011, 01:33:18 pm
the link is no longer valid.  I'd love to hear those songs -- I've never even heard OF them.  Please reload - thanks!

6  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ask Mellencamp.com / Is Easter Eve a true story? on: November 14, 2011, 01:25:19 pm
When John introduced Easter Eve recently (Newark, 11/5/11) he seemed to indicate the lyrics were factually true.
Is it a true story?
How much is true?
They went to jail?
Where?
Which cafe?
Which son? - Hud?
Are there any online news articles?
