No you're not, they both would benefit greatly from better mastering. Whoever engineered these two albums for CD needs to have his ears examined, such a shame.

It sure would be nice to get an update on the next album release, it's taking too damn long. Maybe John will surprise us with a double album, one can hope.

Any word on a possible new album and tour this year. The last five albums of new material have been outstanding, can't wait to see what John comes up with next.

It’s interesting because Cryptic Rock said To The River, In My Time of Dying, Teardrops Will Fall all included subtle differences. I wonder if Republic Records has any additional info?!?

I couldn't tell you what those ''differences''are, but Cryptic Rock my be on to something because to my ears all three songs sound better on the new album.

I personally love the duet version on the new album, don't know who the female voice is either, if i had to guess i'd say Martina McBride, Was thinking of getting the vinyl, i think i'll pass on it now.

They make a great couple, wish they'd make a movie together. I may be alone in thinking this, but i thought John showed he could act/direct with ''Falling From Grace'', great movie, amazing soundtrack.

If i'm correct, the song is just a more stripped down version of the song as performed at The White House  that is included on the upcoming CD, with John sounding a bit more ragged. I didn't care much for the arrangement when i first heard it, which is why i hadn't commented on it until now, but after having watched the video a few times it's really grown on me.

Well.... I have to be honest..... I thought the song stunk.     I am a big fan ...love his shows and energy...but this song does not cut it.    Disappointing ....it's not rock it's not country ....it's terrible.

If we're talking about ''Eyes On The Prize'', the fact that ''as you say'' it's not rock or country doesn't make it terrible. To be honest some of the greatest music ever made is neither of those things, while some of the worst ''like much of what passes for rock or country these days'' IS.

A bit disappointed with this release, wish the album was longer, and included some of John's more obscure covers, glad ''Gambling Ballroom Blues'' was included.

Maybe we'll get a double album.

The last thing John needs is to be associated with ''The Voice'' in any way, shape, or form.

Odd indeed, the suspense is killing me.
