For 15 years, I lived as a person with progressive unilateral hearing loss. I chose "Jack and Diane" as the ringtone for my phone because I could identify it as mine. Losing hearing in one ear means losing the ability to localize sound and losing the ability to hear in stereo. Three years ago, I had successful surgery to improve my hearing. I am so looking forward to the concert in Utica, NY in October. I will hear the music in stereo! I think that hearing "Jack and Diane" live would still prompt me to look for my phone and bring tears to my eyes.
