Title: Mystery live CD - can anyone help?
Post by: twingytwangy on December 09, 2020, 11:29:18 am
Hello everyone. I'm hoping someone here can help me.

I used to have a CD of John and his band performing live. Track one was Love and Happiness. Track 7 or 8 was Big Daddy. The version of Big Daddy was absolutely beautiful; I've heard no better live performance from anyone. I'd really love to be able to hear it again but I don't have the CD anymore.

I got it from a used music shop in Canada, probably around the mid 1990s. The funny thing about it was when iTunes or whatever would get the details it wouldn't be that album or even John; it would suggest it was something else (can't remember what). I don't think it's an official album. There seems to be a few unofficial ones but without track listings.

Does anyone have that album or know where I can get it? I'd buy it again just to hear them do Big Daddy.

you are most likely speaking of the live recording/broadcast from John's 07-04-1992 concert outside of Indianapolis at the Deer Creek Music Center.

That concert was widely bootlegged and even shows up at times on the digital music services and definitely is available on YouTube.

This is a bootleg CD of John’s appearance on MTV Unplugged. He played “Big Daddy Of Them All” at that show.
