Title: Where does John rank himself??? Post by: cge333 on February 08, 2011, 11:09:08 pm I am sure that many of us here would rank John as one of the all time greats. I know John really respects people like Bob Dylan, Robert Johnson, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, etc.
Do you think he would rank himself up with those guys? Or perhaps he doesn't care :) I believe he felt slighted the first couple of times he was passed over for the RR HOF and I think he thought it was a great yet deserving honor when he finally got in. Johnny Cash once said that Mellencamp was one of the best of his generation.
Would he (Mellencamp) rank himself up there with them? It's doubtful that John thinks about it. The bottom line is, his success speaks for itself. Mike |
