Any truth to this and if so, any fanclub tickets? John is playing there as detailed on the AARP page, and tickets will go on sale to the general public via Ticketmaster, possibly as soon as Friday. However, ultimately, this is a AARP show and kind of a private event, thus we are not allowed to do a presale and we will not be promoting/listing the show on the website as I understand it now. It's confusing since the pubilc can buy tickets, but this event is directly connected to the AARP convention. The show is a one off, it's not part of any tour or run of shows. Since this concert is really only being advertised by AARP and Ticketmaster, my husband and I were able to snag great seats last evening on the Ticketmaster site - center stage (section 1), third row (row C). The AARP site still says "tickets on sale soon" - they are not yet promoting that tickets are on sale now! So if anyone out there is interested in getting good seats to this concert, there are many available - I just checked a short time ago and seats are still available in the center stage section (section 1), starting in the third row (row C). Cost for floor seats in the premium sections is $135/ticket. Looking forward to traveling to San Diego in September!! :D
