An album of “Ghost Brothers” songs is expected to be released this spring, after which a touring production is expected to begin, said its director, Susan V. Booth of Alliance Theater in Atlanta, where the musical ran last year. “Subsequent to the show’s close in Atlanta, Steve and John did significant rewriting and restructuring of the book,” she said. “What we learned and have leaned into is that this work only succeeds if it commits to being something unique unto itself.” To that end the tour will be staged as a live radio play and produced in concert form, rather than a conventional musical production
