I think personally it is a prop, since I never hear it. Maybe its mixed really low. I know the Martin acoustic is actually played live. I know John has quoted that he is not that good of a guitar player. Any other thoughts on this? Title: Re: Mellencamp Live Guitar Playing? Yes, the acoustic is really live. Not sure if John can really play an electric guitar that well.
