Title: European Setlist Post by: westy114 on March 18, 2011, 04:23:06 pm Do you know what the Setlist is going to be for the European tour?
Title: Re: European Setlist Post by: flyguy on March 19, 2011, 04:12:51 pm he played last time in europe in 1993, he never played italy.
he could and should consider to play some more "hits" than the current u.s.a. setlist, even if the show makes sense like it is now. Title: Re: European Setlist Post by: turmbird on April 03, 2011, 03:04:09 pm no, please not a greatest hits tour for europe! I hope the show will be the same as the american, including the warm-up film, the lighting, and of course the songs. I hope we hear as much songs from the past 2 records as possible.
and I hope we can see his son Hud on guitar as well! Title: Re: European Setlist Post by: sweatsockpimp on April 04, 2011, 03:46:32 am I really hope that, while it's almost three months ahead, it's not all decided yet. I think (and hope) that a setlist developes during the tour.
I have my favorites though, I hope it will be a mix of old and new. It's so exciting that he just will do Europe this time! Can't wait! Title: Re: European Setlist Post by: mellenq on April 04, 2011, 09:14:36 am I hope we can see his son Hud on guitar as well! err, while I think it would be amazing to see Hud, I think you mean Speck. Hud is the boxer, Speck is the muso. ::) Title: Re: European Setlist Post by: turmbird on April 04, 2011, 02:13:43 pm oh yes, sorry...so many kids, but he can bring them all over to europe!
Title: Re: European Setlist Post by: Soundstory on April 11, 2011, 11:21:56 am I'd prefer a straight greatest hits set, but the advertising states that it's going to be the same set as the US tour
Title: Re: European Setlist Post by: simonjlewis on April 12, 2011, 07:14:35 pm I am delighted he is playing the UK. I had given up hope of ever seeing him live.
If I could design the set list, it would be a mixture of old and new. I am struggling a little with the new album but I love Life, Death, Love and Freedom. Given this will probably be the only time I ever see he live, I would give good money to hear him play Sweet Evening Breeze. As for the rest, this would do for a start of his three hour set ;D: Suzanne And The Jewels Serious Business If I Die Sudden Without a Shot This May Not Be The End Of The World The Full Catastrophe Martha Say What If I Came Knocking Down And Out In Paradise Title: Re: European Setlist Post by: Frischi on June 21, 2011, 08:33:35 am Ooh Yeah, little Bastard will be back in Germany. My first Mellencamp concert in 1992 in Frankfurt was fantastic. It made me a real big fan! Now is the time to see Mr. Mellencamp after a long time of waiting. So many Songs are deep in my heart. Each one will be celebrated!!!
I hope the Playlist will be very long. Unfortunatly the American playlist contains not the most expected songs of me. I'm missing songs like: Down and out here in paradise, Paper in Fire, Wild night, L.U.V., Big Daddy of them all, Thundering hearts ( my favorite!!!), Freedoms road, Taxi Dancer The list could be much longer and I know the show can't be 5 hours long, but Europe has been waiting for so long to see him again.
