I noticed John Mellencamp's rendition
of "What if I Came Knocking?" , a Human Wheels"
song, where he sings about "his heart" going
through the changes after "just a few weeks"
and that "'s not really meant to be..."
But the real racketeer rewards on this record
goes to his exband member Pat Peterson/sp?
Her backup vocal work is so, so neat. On the video
that the Mellencamp people put out on "What if I
Came Knocking?"
I relate to the feelings expressed here...vulnerability
can be a big, big drag to people who are
hurt by that...
And she really does play good backup instruments and good vocal backups.
What ain't hers to offer is totally professional. Right? I don't know her.
And she's such a good backup to johncougarmellon.
Jesus Left Birmingham, Funny French Shoes, Suzanne, Case 795, All Roads to the River...
The size of this work is so very wonderful. And no matter what? It will be.

Hey hey hey!! I totally agree- Pat is AMAZING! I love her goofy, bubbly attitude but most importantly her great voice tops it all! I especially adore her vocal part on the 3rd verse in Case 795. Very spectacular and unique voice, and John's goes so well with hers!! She also has like golden vocal chords whenever she sings Pink Houses live with John. She and all the background singers kick ass.
