I would like to post the lyrics to his song "Into the Great Wide Open" as it has a personal meaning for me and I want to share this with the Community. Seems like I was "r-man" at the time it was written.

Into the Great Wide Open
Tom Petty

Henry waited 'til he finished high school
He went to Hollywood, got a tattoo
He met a girl out there with a tattoo too
The future was wide open
They moved into a place they both could afford
He found a nightclub, he could work at the door
She bought a guitar and she taught him some chords
The future was wide open

Into the great wide open
Under the skies of blue
Into the great wide open
A rebel without a clue

The papers said it always played from the heart
He had an agent and a roadie named Bart
They made a record and it went in the chart
The future was wide open
His leather jacket wore chains and it jingled
They both met movie stars, partied and mingled
Marry an r-man,
Hey, I don't hear a single
The future was wide open

Into the great wide open
Under the skies of blue
Into the great wide open
A rebel without a clue

keeping up a appearances to have fun in Miami, whatever, but l hope the truth comes out a bit clearer as some face or something, whatever.

The Lighthouse
james taylor
Off the coast of Africa
Bound for South America
A world away from here
Is a ship that sails the sea
Is a man who's just like me
And I wish that I was there.
I'm a lonely lighthouse on a ship out in the night
I'm watchin' the sea
She's come halfway 'round the world to see the light
And stay away from me
There is a shipwreck lying at my feet
Some weary refugee from the rolling deep
Ah, could you lose it all and fall for me?
My golden woman, like to shine like the sun
My golden woman like to shine like the sun
My golden woman like to shine like the sun
Flashing on, flashing on, fading away
Now if you feel lost and lonely and don't know where to go
And you hear this song on the radio
Or even if you're feeling healthy and strong*
You might like to sing along
But just because I might be standing here
That don't mean I won't be wrong this time
You could follow me and lose your mind
Isn't like
My golden woman like to shine like the sun
My golden woman like to shine like the sun
My golden woman like to shine like the lighthouse
Flashing on, flashing on
Fading away

Another "written for me" song about a f-u- - - u-p...for daring to hope...hey, that don't mean nothing.
