I just love this song, I always felt like it didn't get NEAR the

The original version of "Teardrops Will Fall" came out in 1959, when Mellencamp was just 8 years old. Any idea of whether he liked the song as a kid or why he decided to record it?

My guess, knowing the lyrics, was that it was just a very appropriate song based on one of his marriages.  I actually had a hard time believing that he didn't write it himself because it hit so close to home.

Wow, now I'm really glad that I bought a new laptop on the weekend and was able to christen it with this video (haven't been able to see videos in the past).  Thanks Paula, what a great one!  Especially love that Miriam is fully appreciated for posterity, boy she's a huge talent and her playing constantly pulls my heartstrings.

Loved to see the band too....very fun.
