1  MELLENCAMP DISCUSSION / All About John / Re: Scarecrow Released 26 years ago today... on: August 27, 2011, 07:38:12 pm
It's funny that you mention "Aint' even done with the night", because John doesn't seem to care a whole lot for those early records, at least that's what I've been led to believe. I think the "John Cougar" album was fantastic as was "Nothin' Matters". A little on the pop side, but great records all the same.

You got be beat by a few. I became a Mellencamp fan the second time I heard "Hurts So Good"(82). Oddly enough, the first time I heard it I thought it was a pretty dumb song by a dude who wasn't very good. The second time I heard it I thought, "You know, that song isn't all that bad". Mellencamp has been my favorite singer since then.

Name me any of his albums and I'd have a hard time pick the top five songs off of that one album. Picking just five songs overall is an impossible task.

5  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ticket & Tour Questions / Re: sour grapes, sorry! on: August 19, 2011, 11:02:39 am
I've seen John three times in Tennessee (soon to be 4). The closest I ever got was in Johnson City, and even got picked by John to sing on stage with him. Other than that, the other two shows, I was much farther away from the stage than what you would be if you bought the worst seats in Knoxville Auditorium. I would strongly urge you to reconsider. 40 bucks isn't a lot to pay for concert seats in today's world. I am in the balcony myself for that show and am pumped because there isn't a bad seat in there. You could buy balcony seats and not come anywhere near dropping a thousand bucks. Good luck, hope you make the show.
6  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ticket & Tour Questions / Re: What is the ticket limit?? on: August 18, 2011, 04:31:19 pm
Thanks.

Yeah, I tried to find the part about cash only, and couldn't find it again. Can't remember where I saw that, perhaps on the venue site.
7  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ticket & Tour Questions / What is the ticket limit?? on: August 17, 2011, 07:45:33 pm
If I buy tickets at the venue, not the pre-sale, is there a limit on the number of tickets? I need 6 and was wondering if I need to take someone with me. This is why I passed on the pre sale.

Also, I thought I read somewhere that ticket sales at the venue was cash only. The venue I will be buying tickets at normally takes a credit card. I'm assuming this show would be no different???

Thanks
8  MELLENCAMP.COM ANNOUNCEMENTS / Ticket & Tour Questions / Question about pre-sale tickets??? on: August 14, 2011, 04:27:33 pm
Three quick questions, any info is greatly appreciated.

1. Is the pre-sale open only to members of this forum?

2. Do we have any idea on the locations of tickets for the pre-sale?

3. Can you purchase tickets in the first 10 rows, without buying the VIP package?

Thanks
